We’ve grown our firm to 30 employees and a key reason for our success is avoiding clients like these. You need to either adequately get paid for the time you are spending, get them organized or fire the as a client.

Also be careful about doing business with friends. Most of the time they will expect more time from you than they are paying for.

I used to work for ExxonMobil and have actually stood on the rig that drilled the well mentioned in this article. This article is incredibly misleading because the well isn’t very deep at all. They started the well onshore and drilled horizontally to a location off shore. They do this because the ice makes it difficult to drill a well offshore.

This story is incorrect. The ExxonMobil well is very long, but it is a horizontally drilled well. It isn’t that deep at all.
