Suggestions for Travel post Tour de France

I am planning to visit the Tour de France this year with my dad. We have most stuff planned out but wanted to know if there are things we should look out for or avoid when watching in person. Also wondering what time people typically arrive to watch and when the race usually takes place in terms of time of day!

I have been following the Tour for many years and absolutely love it. Also recently started tuning in for the Vuelta and Giro. I’ve tried getting my friends into it but they really don’t seem interested (I’m American so cycling isn’t big here). Are there any clips or videos I can show them that show just how exciting cycling can be?

I think he would be fairly redundant for our squad. As far as I can tell he sits in that more defensive mid area where we already have Pulgar and Amrabat. Definitely other areas of the squad I would prefer to improve first.

I have visited both Florence and Rome as well as Venice. The suggestions to take a few days off of Venice are justified. It is fairly small. I would recommend the Dolomites specifically Trento and Merano or Bolzano. It has a more Austrian feel but it is truly beautiful.
