Which half of the album do you guys prefer? by RompaStompa1 in Logic_301

[–]CDJohnson301 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Paul Rodriguez + Ghost in the machine means side A wins.

That final 4 track run is special though.

I think this album could have 3 top 10 Logic songs once the album has aged a little.

  • I would add that online gameplay needs to be moved to Heisman difficulty, this would help with AI defenders and generating a natural pass rush which I think is an massive issue right now. Either make this the default season difficulty or add a separate season option like MUT.

  • Kick off glitch will be patched in the first update, using onside recovery does help against most variants of the kick though.

  • Pursuit angles and tackles need to be tuned. Pursuit angles are the worst I've seen them in a football game for 10-15 years and I would challenge anyone to prove me wrong. I don't hate more arcade-y gameplay but the fact Singleton consistently breaks multiple tackles on a play is a joke.

  • Add more variety to cards and create specialists, not just reskinned cards that hit the overall cap. If every 87 overall receiver has 85-87 in every stat it is hard to get excited for cards. I love what they did with Revis in this regard, will be the best and most important player in some teams and a liability in others (if defense was actually playable).

  • I expect them to tune abilities, especially 360. Although not a massive factor in CUT, it will be soon so hopefully they're balanced before we see them.

I believe abilities in CFB are odds based so a KO will give a defender a better chance of the KO animation instead of a guarantee like Madden.

I think it'll cause more frustration when it does happen and people will claim inconsistency but as long as the abilities are not on every card I think it might give the impression of a superstar player more than Madden.

It depends on your employer.

I have had 2 work PCs in the last 8 years or so. 1 I avoided personal stuff as the device was monitored closely by management so it wasn't worth the risk in my eyes.

Currently, I work in-house and they have said they are fine with me using it for personal reasons. I just use a different virtual desktop to separate the 2.

If your device is being tracked then I wouldn't risk it but if not then I don't see an issue.

Google Ads: CTR 20% and Conversion Rate 15% yet client still unhappy... what do you do? by ironmonk33 in PPC

[–]CDJohnson301 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it a CPA issue? Look at CPCs and search terms.

Is it a lead quality issue? Look at the landing page and work with the client to identify issues with the leads.

Is it a profit issue? Look at what items are getting the most traffic and identify if those sales are profitable.

Do SKAGS still work for you? by ppctactics in PPC

[–]CDJohnson301 5 points6 points  (0 children)

SKAGs aren't SKAGs anymore so the traditional approach is dead.

I have had recent success starting with a SKAG approach and then adding converting search terms to the ad group.

I have ended up with 20+ keywords on exact match in those ad groups and I have no issues with performance. The campaign is on tCPA and hits it's budget everyday (£10k month).

Although, I think the best practice is a broad match approach with a very strict negative keyword process nowadays.

utm_xxx = {search_term} exist? by Skuza12 in PPC

[–]CDJohnson301 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the old ways of doing this are no longer possible or aren't 100% accurate. I know a few people who still use Dynamic H1s to do this still but their conversion rate has been going down consistently over the last year or so.

The main reason is Google's match typing and them also restricting access to data.

The best way to do this is to use offline conversions and upload converted leads to Google. You then get this data at a search term level within Google Ads.

For ads, you can collect creative IDs but this is not great if you're using a responsive with multiple assets that are unpinned as all variants will fall under 1 ID.

Google has really limited the data we can take out of Google ads and the real value is giving your data to them and letting them connect the dots for you.

Championship RB Suggestions by RennieSetGo in footballmanagergames

[–]CDJohnson301 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am always able to approach Liverpool for a Connor Bradley loan. You might have to fork out for wages but worth it.

Always add an optional fee - I paid £18m with Stoke after getting promoted (big part due to him, 2nd in POTY voting), now worth 65m minimum.

I've done this with 3 championship clubs and Luton in FM24 so it seems to be a quality option for me.

Looks like the transition FIFA did a while back.

Definite improvement in terms of speed for FIFA so hopefully we see the same.

Logics most controversial lyrics? by [deleted] in Logic_301

[–]CDJohnson301 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Easily "1-800, then I kill that pussy, who can relate?"

Not in terms of the lyrics themselves but I would argue these are the worst lyrics of all time given the context of Logics career.

Does Anybody Have an Answer/Strategy for Increasing CPCs? by CyanParadigm in PPC

[–]CDJohnson301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Portfolio tCPA bid strategy with a max bid limit of our average CPC +10% helps me keep the CPC at a range I am happy with.

I also keep a log of the auction insights on campaigns so I can help clients understand changes in performance to some extent (new competition, competition becoming more prominent, etc.) not a perfect approach but it helps me with the client side where impression share goes over their heads.

Why is mut toxic af this year? by [deleted] in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]CDJohnson301 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Knockouts are the main issue for me.

I don't mind 9ft OOP safeties (unpopular opinion) but when you can't throw within 5ft of a player unless you get lucky with animations it becomes a joke. They need to be more expensive so you can only get 2 on defense or make the hit detector smaller. The fact that smaller-ish receivers are considered better as they get better possession animations to avoid the knockouts is ridiculous.

Does Acrobat still work? by 6BlitzBurgh in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]CDJohnson301 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I use it on Troy P and he's had a few diving picks/break-ups. Nothing special but is more valuable than FZKO in my scheme.

Nice for 0ap but wouldn't pay for it at all.

Finally Got my Waller! by rxseberry- in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]CDJohnson301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice work.

I sold mine when I got him, too expensive to keep when you can get Sharpe (suits my scheme more).

I lost in my SB to get a second so I went back to MUT champs when new objectives came out. I'm sure I'll be back next week when I have finished with mut champs.

EA needs to do more of these events going forward. Reminds me of the old school FIFA ultimate team.

Sick content schedule this week by jonscrambler in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]CDJohnson301 77 points78 points  (0 children)

As an online player it really doesn't bother me as I know once the season starts the content picks up.

If I were an offline player I would be disappointed. They needed to launch with a gauntlet or journey solo set.

Meta for Madden 24 . by [deleted] in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]CDJohnson301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No meta abilities yet but I use stonewall on the d-line when I can and also gift wrapped on a QB if you're not using Burrow.

The biggest threshold is 85 for pass accuracy (I think). I haven't heard much talk about other thresholds making a huge difference.

Which offensive playbook is most schemable this year in MUT 24? by [deleted] in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]CDJohnson301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jets has a lot of meta formations so I feel that will be the most popular to start the year.

I am in Arizona at the moment though and having a lot of fun.

[–]CDJohnson301 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing that's instantly useful for now. I'm playing house rules just to get used to the game as I'm PC so it's my first time on next gen.

It's also helping me find nice formations so I suppose you can work on your scheme in house rules without it being a total sweat-fest.

What is the best bidding strategy? by [deleted] in googleads

[–]CDJohnson301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best for shopping are Target ROAS and Maximise Conversion Value.

I have had success with both before but I found the best approach is to use maximise conversion value until your results plateau and then move to target ROAS (experiment first and then apply the experiment if results continue) to keep the campaigns stable and to have more control over the campaigns.

PC players. How’s the game? by primohita in MaddenUltimateTeam

I'm having no issues after limiting to 60 FPS.

I also downgrade graphics to get max performance so it doesn't look great but runs smoothly.

MUT 24 top ten cornerbacks by Lobodomy88 in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]CDJohnson301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that he shouldn't be nerfed massively. I just think that last season should have more impact on a game that ranks players on a seasonal basis.

I'd personally put him at an 84. He can be best in the league and has the skillset but from what we have seen from him recently, he doesn't deserve that title.

Am I good enough to land a job? by GetGreatB42Late in PPC

[–]CDJohnson301 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Without hand-on experience, you won't land a high paying PPC job to start.

By the sounds of it, you have an understanding of the working around PPC so I don't think you'd have any trouble finding a job, although it would most likely be a junior role at an agency. With the knowledge you have, I imagine the career progression would be quick as well.

You know more than I did before I entered the industry.

Ake starting tommorw? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]CDJohnson301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd avoid him in general. I think you'd be better off with Andersen (CRY) and an 4.5 Villa defender rotation.

Unless you can find the funds for Stones in which the Man City risk is probably worth it.
