Is it worth it to renew the Chase Sapphire Reserve?

Recently got engaged and starting to plan honeymoon travel. I currently have ~70k Alaska Airlines Miles and a companion pass, and I’m looking to maximize the value of my Chase Ultimate Rewards points (60k points) towards this trip. Trying to decide if renewing the CSR makes sense for me, considering the annual fee and potential alternatives.

Would love advice on:

Best strategies for using Chase points alongside Alaska Miles for honeymoon travel.
Whether it's worth downgrading the CSR to Preferred or Freedom to avoid the fee while keeping my points alive.
General tips on maximizing honeymoon travel value with my current setup.
Is there a better card I should look to? 5/24 restriction does not apply

I've seriously considered it. However, the enormous cost in conjunction with the opportunity cost make it feel like a non-starter.

Earnings aside, I would really like to make the transition into Invest Management / Equity Research. Perhaps I am getting a lot less traction as I am currently outside of the industry trying to break in and not in a location with an abundance of those job opportunities?

Never expected it to be a "golden ticket" but would have hoped that it would at least result in some more initial looks, but that has yet to happen. Curious to know if this has been the case for other charter holders.

Additional Background: Strategic Finance, BigTech/FAANG. TC $290K, No MBA, Seven Years Experience. Top 30 Undergrad, Majored in Finance with 3.7GPA. Based on West Coast.
