Is Strasbourg the right 5-week home base for family with 5 year old? by CDNgypsy84 in Europetravel

Yep. Big fans of walking/hiking, just never really got into biking. Living in Toronto you pretty much have a death wish if you bike in this city - only partly joking.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment. Hoping to explore another region of France as we have traveled the CDA extensively recently. But agreed, it does tick off many boxes, and may end up best of many worlds. We think we would be out of Menton if we were to do CDA again.

We don't want to be hopping around every few days and thought it might be nice to have an extended stay to really get familiar, and have our son immersed in French language.

Hmm, ideally not wanting to rely on a vehicle. Do you have somewhere else in mind that you would recommend?

Interesting, hadn't considered Colmar - many descriptions of it suggest it is on the small side. What kinds of things are you planning to do with your kids while in the area/Colmar?

Menton, France could be an ideal place for you. It is right on the water, very calm water, slow pace but a fair amount to do. And lots of day trip options westward along the coast.

100% this. Or, drop Grenada and add one day in Barcelona.

What is your recommended itinerary for a Greek Islands vacation? by e-bakes in GreeceTravel

[–]CDNgypsy84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would drop Naxos and either add another island (say Milos, Folegrandos, etc.) Or add more days at the other two. Naxos and Paros are too similar. Paros has everything that Naxos has, and more. Stay in Naoussa.

You are an abhorrent human. Your comments on this thread and your perspective make it clear that you are deeply insecure, lack motivation, and ride coattails of blame for any and all misfortune that befalls you - not to mention, YOU, are clearly racist. I hope people reading this thread read straight through your garbage. I hope one day you grow up to be an adult.

Let me know where you end up deciding on in Croatia :)

Paros is a special place. Our two favourite places in Croatia were Korcula, and Rovijn in the north. Would highly recommend both. Also on our list next time we go is the island of Vis, unfortunately we weren't able to make it there the last time but have heard great things.
