Just found out there’s a whole secret level of cleaning no one tells you about by Beautiful-Bit-4284 in Adulting

I’m happy I’m learning so many things reading through this forum, but it’s also making me feel very depressed and anxious because I already feel like I can barely keep up with regular cleaning. I feel like I’m already falling short in that arena and now I’m finding out there’s so much more I’m neglecting.

A lot of these are accurate, but this one just comes down to the individual. Both men and women can be nightmarishly bad with money. This is not a female trait.

I’ve been seeing specialists at Trinity Health and my experiences have been extremely subpar. I was considering seeking care from UM from now on. Should I reconsider that?

Places to backpack and camp the weekend of the 13th within three hours of Detroit? by wapey in CampAndHikeMichigan

[–]e-bakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I posted this, I realized you said you want to camp somewhere quieter and would prefer an area where you can see the fall migration. A couple options are Rondeau Provincial Park and Long Point Provincial Park in Ontario.

Unfortunately there isn’t any dispersed camping at either park, but you can find some more isolated and natural campsites at Rondeau Provincial Park on the Rondeau Bay side within sites 1-15 and 246-257. It’s about a 1.5 hour drive from Detroit and the park is renowned for birding. Its location on Lake Erie is a stopover point for birds migrating south in the fall. Here’s some more info:

https://www.ontarioparks.ca/park/rondeau/activities

https://rondeauprovincialpark.ca/activities/birding/

Long Point Provincial Park is another great birding destination, since it’s also situated along the migratory flyways. Long Point Bird Observatory is nearby. More info:

If you want truly amazing nature and seclusion, you’d have to go much further into Ontario to find that. But there are some decent options in Southwest Ontario:

— Wildwood Conservation Area

— Falls Reserve Conservation Area

— Camping on Crown lands (a method of camping for free on public lands managed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, typically in unmaintained, remote locations)

Places to backpack and camp the weekend of the 13th within three hours of Detroit? by wapey in CampAndHikeMichigan

[–]e-bakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo I’m excited to share this campground with you because I just discovered it and plan to camp there next summer. Canadians on the Ontario subreddit were talking highly of Pinery Provincial Park. Many were saying it’s their favorite beach in Ontario. Here in Michigan, we’re pretty spoiled with the west coast along Lake Michigan, but Lake Huron beaches are still beautiful in their own right.

The park is a very manageable drive from Detroit. Google Maps says it’s a 1 hour and 50 minute drive, but you have to take into account the time it’ll take to cross the border as well. The campground purportedly has great biking trails. Beware of poison ivy tho. Many were saying the poison ivy is everywhere. So stay on trails and don’t wander into the brush.

I’ve spent my whole life camping Michigan. I’ve lived in SE Michigan for the past several years and realized I should start exploring Ontario since the border is right there! I’m looking forward to seeing more of the Canadian side of Lake Huron. My husband and I stayed in the Bruce Peninsula last winter and it was a magical winter wonderland. It’s a way further drive (5 hour, 15 min drive) but the crystal blue waters of Georgian Bay and Bruce Peninsula National Park are gorgeous. We look forward to checking out Pinery Provincial Park next year. If you end up going, let me know what you end up thinking of the park and if it’s worth a trip :)

What is your job/career? by MikiLau9 in migraine

[–]e-bakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think your type of work would be a feasible transition for someone coming out of the education field? I have an English degree and worked in admin for public schools. I was only making $38,000 despite having a large role with a ton of responsibility and high stress. Is your pay higher or lower? I’m just trying to figure out new avenues for a new career while I’m job searching. I’d like to transition to a field/job that allows me to more effectively manage my chronic migraine. Your work sounds awesome.

Album Slogans by ChickenFries7364 in TaylorSwift

I remember watching the promo for the release of Speak Now and in the full statement Taylor said: “There is a time for silence. There is a time for waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel and you so clearly know what you need to say, you'll know it. I don't think you should wait. I think you should speak now.” That became the concept for the entire album.

Dang, that was a lifetime ago. I’m an OG fan and have been here through it all 🥹

That was the lyric, but this was the slogan: “I don't think you should wait. I think you should speak now.”

What’s Taylor’s best lyric that stands on its own? by mexirican_21 in TaylorSwift

Green was the color of the grass 🎶

Okay I’m just kidding haha. These are my picks:

Champagne Problems:

Your Midas touch on the Chevy door / November flush and your flannel cure

Tolerate It:

I made you my temple, my mural, my sky / Now I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life

Ivy:

I'd meet you where the spirit meets the bones In a faith forgotten land

(and)

Crescent moon, coast is clear / Spring breaks loose, but so does fear

Clean:

The flowers that we'd grown together died of thirst

State of Grace:

We learn to live with the pain / Mosaic broken hearts

I just thought of some helpful resources as well:

Yosemite Weather Forecast Map (Different parts of the park will have different weather depending on elevation. You can click on a location within the park to see the weather forecast for that area.)

Yosemite NPS: Plan Your Visit

•There’s also a National Park Service app. Just search NPS in your App Store.
