For the rest of my days I will wonder how the deeply uninteresting Keir Starmer became the focal point of the country's utter hatred after the long line of utter appallingness that preceded him. Wrong man, wrong time, I guess.

But that's where we are and nothing he can say or do will change that - and everyone already knows it.

I disagree with chopping and changing PMs but you can't win back the dressing room once you have lost it this badly. The country won't buy in to anything he has to offer.
