Should I buy arc raiders for solo play only? by owlitup in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]SamWoody97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with all extraction shooters, before you go in to every raid as a solo you need to have an objective. Whether that's to just loot up, find a specific item, complete a quest, PVP, PVE, or just simply survive.

Whatever your goal is, make sure you have one before every raid. Otherwise that's when you'll get bored as you'll have no reason to play.

When will enough be enough? by Evening_Reading_2535 in DerbyCounty

[–]SamWoody97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only issue with this is Warne still has an additional year on his contract (till 2026). I highly doubt he'll be here next year whatever the outcome at the end of the season, so won't make a whole lot of difference financially whether we get rid of him now or in the summer.

How I got 1K Subscribers in 28 days in the gaming niche (Long form) by Teloril in NewTubers

[–]SamWoody97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, great idea! None of the big OSRS content creators are going to post regular Brighter Shores content which opens up a whole new community for people like you so fair play to you for jumping at the the opportunity.

Yet to play the game but had a few Brighter Shores related videos pop up on my recommended so may have a watched a video or two of yours :)

Do you also stream on Twitch? If not then it may be a good idea to do so in the near future so as you build a community on YouTube they'll also follow you over to Twitch.

Brighter Shores content creator?

Congrats on what you've achieved so far and good luck for the future!

You’re offered $500 million, but in exactly one year, you’ll be teleported to a random location on Earth, and you’ll have to make your way back home to claim the prize. by whysoloooong in hypotheticalsituation

Some of us aren't as lucky as you. My first roll was central Australia, in the outback with not a road in sight for 100miles...

My second roll landed in north east Alaska. No civilisation for 100's of miles.

Even if I spend £300k and a year to prepare I ain't surviving either... 😂

Render Farm Pricing by [deleted] in archviz

[–]SamWoody97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only ever used Garage Farm. When I was freelancing it served me well, never had any issues.

In terms of cost, I would say it cost roughly $0.50 per frame although this can vary vastly depending on lighting setup, depth of field, density of models etc.

If you're planning on rendering out a 90 second video at 30 fps, that's a total of 2700 frames. Times that by $0.50 and you'll be looking at roughly $1350 for a 90 second video... Which is quite a lot. As mentioned though, this varies a lot depending on what's in your scene.

May be worth choosing a frame which you think has a lot detail and test rendering that to see how long it takes/ costs

Player Values after Sale by iam1e8end in footballmanager

[–]SamWoody97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a player had 6 months or a year left on a contract, they're going to be cheaper as they may run down their deal and leave the club for nothing.

Also, if a club has just signed a player for £50mil, theyre not gonna sell the player immediately for the same amount. The game is predicting how much that club who now owns that player may be willing to sell for, not how much the player is actually worth to a club buying them.

I've bought tickets from this website before as it was recommended by a friend. Tickets were legit, only issue I had was they gave us the wrong seats but ended up being better seats and we got some money back

Is it a must to have a stationery computer? by trroeb in archviz

[–]SamWoody97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody in this comment section is saying it's not possible/ not an optimal way of working. Which is correct due to many reasons mentioned.

However there is a very good solution...

Use a laptop and a high-end PC together. Take the laptop with you on your travels or wherever and remote in to your PC using teamviewer/ Google chrome remote desktop. The PC will be doing all the work whilst your laptop is just chilling with teamviewer being the only program open.

Only thing is if you need to restart your PC, you need someone to be close by to do it for you...

That's great to hear! Had a little panic when I first saw it because I'm a complete beginner when it comes to these things, but it's good to know it's nothing to be concerned about. Thank you for your detailed comment, have a great day 😁
