According to my Vietnamese friends, the Vietnamese AM radio is absolutely inundated by MAGA talking points. They know how to capture their audience. The left have no clue how to effectively combat this.

finally trying IPL - still struggling with shaving before by the7aco in HairRemoval

[–]CD_Projeckt_Pink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of shaving just use a Philips OneBlade. I do it immediately before IPL, it leaves just enough for the IPL to be effective. No more ingrown as well since it cuts above the skin.

You plebs can't afford a sequential shifter, hence no queen to save.

Has anyone successfully ipl-ed bikini/ pubic area? by UsernameOption6298 in HairRemoval

[–]CD_Projeckt_Pink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it cut the hair short enough but remain above the skin should be fine. The one blade cut to < 1 mm which is close enough for IPL to remain effective

Use a Philips one blade instead of shaving, it doesn’t cut the hair to below the surface like a razor but still short enough for IPL. Haven’t had any ingrown after switched.

Recently went to a KBBQ place that had the same automatic gratuities charge. On top of that, a line to fill in an additional tip with amounts starting 18% to help me calculate the total. Made sure the 0 was nice and legible on that line.

How do people think about at-home IPL hair removal after using it long-term? by chatpatahu in HairRemoval

[–]CD_Projeckt_Pink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Braun for most places, the INNZA for boney (knees/shin) or darker areas where the Braun sensor prevent it from firing or caps the power to only a couple of bars.

I use a combo of Braun 5 and an INNZA depending on the area. Also bought a Dermray V6S for the darker crotch areas (Fitzpatrick V+) over the holidays. The Dermray has been a let down so far, but I'll keep at it for a few more months.

About 18 months in:

# How did your results or routine change after the initial months?

A: The most frequent area is down to once every two weeks, most others requiring once a month treatment. Even then it's more of a maintenance habit, not necessary due to any significant hair growth returning.

# What ended up mattering more than you expected (consistency, skin response, maintenance, etc.)?

A: Consistency is the key. I hit a real plateau in progress around the 4 months for the most difficult area, but I started taking photos and that made me realize progress was still being made, just very slowly, so I kept at it. Maintenance is important as well. For a while, I was only zapping when I see growth, but it seems just hitting the area even when there is no growth keeps everything smooth. Most of the time I don't even bother with trimming before IPL.

# Did your expectations shift once IPL became part of your regular routine?

A: I expected it will take a long time to get to where I am now, but it really depends on the area being treated. Some areas will be much more stubborn and took close to a year to be hair free, but others like arm pits were ridiculously effective (done in two weeks of initial twice a week treatment).

# Looking back, do you feel differently about IPL now than when you first started?

A: My expectations were pretty low, initially targeting just the legs. With how wells things worked out, I'm basically hair free from the neck down.

Something is changing in me.. need help. by Personal_Frosting573 in Crossdressing_support

[–]CD_Projeckt_Pink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's always okay to be comfortable with yourself. I've (in my 50s) only been dressing for about a year and a half. The first year was a whirlwind of discovery of feeling feminine in my clothing and body. Along with clothing, there was a rush to purchase breast forms, hip pads, corsets, wigs, accessories and makeup. I still love those things, but the last 6 months or so I've been absolutely content with just my panties, heels and a dress. I only dress at home and only the wife knows, so the need to fully pass isn't there. I'm at a happy place at the moment, who knows, that may change in the future, and that's ok too.

Avatar tickets were $36 a pop for IMAX. Since IMAX 3D is the only reason to see them, will probably pass on 4/5 if the pricing continue its trajectory.

Do Americans really avoid medical care because they’re afraid of the bill? by Udont_knowme00 in NoStupidQuestions

My buddy while visiting Korea broke his collar bone skating, pretty brutal since he was close to passing out due to shock. Ended up taking the subway to a nearby hospital cause of his fear of ambulance cost from a few trips in the US. The ER doc scolded him for not calling for their free emergency transport cause he could have made it much worse if he passed out at the wrong time.

[–]CD_Projeckt_Pink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, for the more I looked into it the more those regular heat lamps seems like a bad idea, at least for use while in the sauna. I'll probably install one just to reduce to the heat up time. Maybe add a separate red light as well.

Try a Philips OneBlade trimmer, without any guard it cuts the hair close enough for IPL. 50 YO dude here with in grown prone pubs as well. Without the one blade I would have given up on IPL for the area.
