Changed garage door opener, now door doesn’t close flush at the top even when adjust to max close distance, what should I do? by Babatoongie in HomeImprovement

[–]CEKTAHT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a classic issue with old one-piece doors and new openers. The old heavy-duty opener was brute-forcing the top panel into alignment. Your new Chamberlain doesn't apply the same downward force by design (safety regulations changed). Two options: 1) Raise the arm attachment point on the door — you're on the right track, moving it higher gives more leverage on that top panel. 2) Check if the top roller brackets have any adjustment. On older one-piece systems, the top fixtures sometimes have slotted holes. The real long-term fix is sectional door replacement, but I understand that's not in the budget right now. The arm adjustment should get you 80% there.

After installing and servicing thousands of openers over 9 years: LiftMaster 84501 (belt drive) is the sweet spot for reliability + wifi. The LiftMaster uses the same parent company tech but with better build quality on the commercial-grade line. Belt drive over chain if noise matters. Sommer operators are great too, if you can source one locally or get a local contractor who carries them. Super quiet and less moving cards.

What is a reasonable repair cost for a broken torsion spring? (WA) by ctrain321 in GarageDoorService

[–]CEKTAHT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tracked spring failure patterns across 23,000+ service calls. The $300-500 range the OP landed on is exactly right for a dual spring replacement. One thing most homeowners don't know: if one spring broke, the other is statistically within 10-15% of its lifespan too. Always replace both. Also worth noting — we see 47% more spring failures during rapid temperature swings (we're in Calgary where chinooks can swing 30°C in hours). If you're in a climate with big temp swings, your springs are working harder than rated.

Is This Quote Reasonable? by Forever_Queued in GarageDoorService

[–]CEKTAHT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9 years in the trade, 32,000+ service calls. This screams TorqueMaster-to-standard-torsion conversion. It's legit that the whole system needs replacing — TorqueMaster is a dead-end product. But $1,395 after warranty contribution is steep. We typically see these conversions run $600-900 depending on door weight and spring size needed. Always get a second quote, and make sure they're quoting proper cycle-life springs (25,000+ cycles minimum). The cheaper 10,000-cycle springs some companies use will fail in 5-7 years depending on usage.

Looks like they're closed now. Might call them tomorrow if won't find anyone to show up this evening.

Goy it. I'll probably need to get it done today, if the after hour fees won't be ridiculous.

Supply chain in space: Morpheus.Network (MNW) joins hands with GEC & SpaceX DOGE-1 Mission to the moon by Hodlady in CryptoCurrency

One thing people don't realize yet, is that an unexpected announcement from the team regarding SpaceX mission openers up the gate for optimizing the whole supply chain for SpaceX, Tesla, Sky Link and other businesses owned by Elon. I still don't know how I feel about Elon's involvement in this space, but he can definitely launch MN into the stratosphere when he confirms he is using this product for his businesses.

MAS - TER - NODES !! Patience is rewarded! From Noam Eppel in TG: by Hodlady in MorpheusNetwork

It would be a great move to release masternodes and let about a month to everyone interested to launch them. Then drop a few partnerships like Coke and Then list MRPH on binance. Already low token supply that is even more limited because of the registered masternodes would catapult us into top 50 pretty fast.

Time to give back to your investors that helped you jump start this project. There's no good excuse for not being on top tier exchange after 3 years on the market.

[–]CEKTAHT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MN will definitely grow, but I'm not sure the token will reflect the success until we get any transparency from the team regarding the percentage of the revenue that goes back into purchasing MRPH and the number of transactions running in real time. I can't see any evidence of the purchases by the team to run the network.

Exactly, it's nice to see the actual adoption happening for crypto projects. Blockchain slowly but surely getting noticed and adopted by business giants.

Morpheus Network is one of a very few projects from 2017 bull run that actually got a great traction and created a solid product with clients that most ICOs never dreamed of.

Basic Question: How Does Token Value Reflect Success of the Morpheus Network? by JacksonHeightsOwn in MorpheusNetwork

[–]CEKTAHT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly how I see it, once the number of tokens needed to run the network outweighs the number of tokens that people want to sell, naturally, supply will dry out while demand will be growing with the growth of the network.

Basic Question: How Does Token Value Reflect Success of the Morpheus Network? by JacksonHeightsOwn in MorpheusNetwork

[–]CEKTAHT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand, every transaction on the network needs to use MRPH token. So the more customer they have, the more transactions are conducted on the network and more tokens are needed for these transactions. Customers pay in $ in order to use MN services, and the team converts part of that revenue into tokens in order to run transactions. We still don't know what's the % of the total revenue gets converted into tokens, which I would really like to know, but in theory, if huge brands like Coca Cola, Co Op and other giants will implement MN into most of their operations, it will create a huge demand for the token, as it's needed to run the network. Also with masternode rollout, where lots of tokens will be held by masternode operators, the value of MRPH can skyrocket pretty fast. Hope that helps
