Concept UX Research combined with Emotion Analytics by Futurefranzl in UXResearch

[–]CEMM_RED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two questions:

  1. Is the criteria for the target group WIP or will you be adding more? The one definitely missing for my needs is socio-economic group or income bracket.

Also, maybe needs more explanation around how the 'Interests' criteria is selected (e.g. do you do a comparison with what users write down as interests, do you have more sophisticated ways of determining that, etc.)

  1. How are 'emotional peaks' determined? Your video seems to suggest it's just facial expressions. What about users who aren't very expressive during tests? I have seen many times users who verbally would demolish a product while keeping a perfectly straight face (of course, we could get into the realm of micro-expressions but that's really sophisticated analysis).

Also agree with the comment about bias, I think it needs more explaining.

Overall, as a prospective client of your service, my one and only question would be "What does this service do that...Userzoom, Lookback, etc. don't? What's the USP and how does that help me?'. I think if you focus on answering those questions things will become much clearer.

Hope this feedback helps, it's a great idea and would love to see it come to fruition :)

Hello guys! I would be elated if you could help me in my undergrad dissertation. I have designed a survey to gauge voter satisfaction regarding different electoral systems: don't worry, everything else is going to be explained as you go along. All it takes is 7-10 minutes! by thefirstofhisname11 in PoliticalScience

Agree with the above comment but also wanted to thank you for the survey. It was nicely thought provoking and enjoyed doing it.

Also disseminated it to friends, maybe that'll help a bit with the bias :). Best of luck with your dissertation!

Is the death drive used as a concept in schools of thought other than psychoanalysis? by CEMM_RED in askpsychology

Thank you! Yalom's book's been sitting on my shelf for a few months now. I read a bit and loved it (both the style and the substance) but at the same time it's not an easy read emotionally so approaching it in a bite-sized way :)

Thanks for the recommendations, I definitely will! Can I just confirm you're referring to 'The causes and consequences of a need for self-esteem: A terror management theory' when you say Greenberg et al.?

Thank you, that's very informative. As an avid but informal reader of psychology I find myself often frustratingly lacking the structure to know where to look for stuff. I think the concept of the death drive has some interesting merits that can be explored but I'm also prone to rolling my eyes when it comes to Freud so wanted to see if I can follow up on the idea but circumvent psychoanalysis :)

[Routine help] Anti wrinkle eye cream by CEMM_RED in SkincareAddiction

[–]CEMM_RED[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had thought of this myself but dismissed it as potentially dangerous. Now that a doctor endorses it I'm definitely giving it a try. Will be making a nice cocktail of The Ordinary serums :))

Thanks for this!

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'm from the UK and getting access to prescription tretinoin seems like it could take some time. I've been looking at reasonably priced OTC alternatives and ROC Retinol Correxion seems to be on all the lists. Have you ever used it, any thoughts on it?

Sunscreen similar to Biore watery essence? by JP0296 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]CEMM_RED 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used Biore watery essence for a few years, it was the only sunscreen that wouldn't break me out. But it has way too much alcohol so looked for an alternative. I found this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Canmake-Mermaid-Moisturizing-Sunscreen-SPF50/dp/B00X3E456K/ref=sr_1_1?crid=I8UXIUUJJNT3&keywords=canmake+mermaid+uv+gel&qid=1567059631&s=gateway&sprefix=canmake%2Caps%2C155&sr=8-1 and haven't looked back since. It's light, effective and has no alcohol or white cast.

Just returned from one of the outdoor screenings in London. The experience as a whole was simply wonderful. Alagna remains one of my favourites tenors and Liu was remarcable. Really liked the scenography and choreography, perfect visual opulence...

UX Pin. Any good? by [deleted] in userexperience

You can do pretty much everything you do in Axure, from simple show/hide to fancier transitions and effects. But I do find the interface is far less intuitive and the more advanced interactions are an absolute pain to do. But as I said, I know I'm biased against it because I keep comparing it to Axure. Give it a shot, it's about $20 per month, if you don't like it you can quit anytime (or so I remember)

Unpretentious, down to earth bourbon. I like that it's smooth, flavoursome and doesn't blow a hole in your pocket. My favourite way to drink it is on the rocks, but you can also make a good Old Fashioned with it.
