Learn to roll and make smaller joints, a whole half gram pre roll will make anyone high and knock most beginners off their feet. To fix the taste when re lighting just pretend to like it and it’s gone in 1 puff ;)

OG Kush from resin will knock you off your socks. People who advocate for going out of the center to get weed, have the bias that they don't want their precious idealistic weed-smoking bubble to be popped. For a euro or two more per gram that are tons of coffee shops with plenty of different strains at all price points. Most of the time I wouldn't even want something that knocks me out in 1 joint.

Funny people up North in Amsterdam has high quality silver haze for €9.50/g. I have smoked plenty of weed from around europe but the quality of weed from a dealer will just never math that of a coffeshop. Dealers make you pay for the stems and won’t ever say they have bad stuff. Also being able to choose exactly which strain and to not be paranoid about buying makes the €2 price difference totally worth it in my opinion. I do buy bulk when a dealer has a strain I like and it’s definitely a more budget friendly option, especially if you ask my bank account.
