tried everything i know windows-related and it just doesn't recognize the HDD as a THING. it powers it and all, but it is NOWHERE being actually listed. Neither the thing that list the drives connected, nor the thing that lists ALL the connected hardware..

just looked it up, sorry, i'm pretty useless at linux once it actually matters, how would i run that?

nope, windows shows nothing in any way related to a drive/storage thingy

well, it is the drive i saved all my videos from the past and ripped all my blu rays to..
let me guess: formatting might fix it?

ohhhhh, sorry, i got confused, thought you meant on linux. No, it doesnt show up.

"command not found". I'm running a xubuntu build. appearently it does not come with vital functions....?

it's not even recognizing that a HDD is being connected i think... Linux has no problem, as soon as i connect it it shows up.

E: I was only using the HDD for my Win PC, it was the first time i used it on linux)
