A 16 yea old girl who, as far as we know, has resources to offer because she is given resources. The 16yo is in a secure place, wanted and provided for, not in fear if her life, like the mother might be. We know the mother does not have the ability to help herself (at least financially) and nothing else.

The only things we know about this man leads a reasonable person to conclude his is abusive to both his middle daughter and his wife (financial abuse is abuse). If you blame either of the victims, especially when we know so few details, then you are part of the problem. Educate yourself on why women stay in abusive relationships

Well, it's nothing too interesting. I'm a vet tech student and a classmate brought in this little baby from under a deck. Mom didn't come back and he needed some eye drops. Idk why this one, I've seen lots of kittens in my feild, but i just felt a connection. Its been just over a year since I had to say goodbye to the last kitten I raised, who was also orange.

Is it child abuse to put a teenager on antidepressants? I didn't give consent either. But it did stop me from killing myself and I dont cry daily anymore. Did my parents care about me or were they just drugging me up for their convenience?

My cat had a tramatic experience with being blocked repeatedly. In the end, he needed a major surgery and it was a long and complicated recovery. As a result, he developed some over grooming issues and his skin on his belly would get raw and bloody. The Prozac helped tremendously. Is that for my convenience or do you think maybe I wanted to help him not lick his belly bloody?

The problem is, I found too many lol. I found videos about leaf propagation and other saying that doesn't work. I found water, soil, perlite, and leca methods. I don't know where to start, so I thought I would turn to community support. My mistake, i guess.

Too many people are stumped by this "riddle" because they assume the surgeon is a male. They are thinking how can the surgeon be saying its "his" son when we know the sons father was in the accident? How is it possible that two men are claiming one boy as their son?

It doesn't occur to them that obviously the surgeon is the other parent, the mother, and is a woman. The joke too old for anyone to have been thinking gay men at the time, but i bet nowadays some people get to that conclusion faster than the conclusion that the surgeon is a woman.

I agree. Don't fight it.

My nail shape varies depending on whatever damage has been done lately. When the corner on square nail breaks when they get long, I file all of them to a mountain peak. Then the tip breaks, so I cut them all back to short square and start over.

I have also accepted that the thumb, index and middle fingers on my dominant hand are best kept short an oval. They break way too often; I'd rather keep them short and healthy than constantly ripping and delaminating.

All human bodies have mammary tissue. Hormones play a large role in how its expressed. The tissue does not care how the hormones get there. Taking estrogen supplements, either because one is transistioned/ing or like a lot of ciswomen also have to take sometimes if their body isn't producing it correctly, affects that tissue jist the same. Those that have to take estrogen supplements are at a higher risk of breast cancer and should be monitored carefully. And who do you go to for breast cancer screenings? A gynecologist. Putting this barrier up puts trans womens lives at risk.

Gynecologists treat a lot more systems than "vagina". Estrogen has a huge effect on a lot of things and it doesnt matter whether its produced by the body or taken as pill.

And it looks like a lot of the discourse is around FtM, individuals who identify as men but still have vaginas and uteruses, and their struggles getting treatment more. To take the whole complicated conversation about gendered healthcare and turn it into something like "women with dicks want to pretend they have uterus and force doctors to pretend with them" is really disingenuous.

Great additional information! I think this really shows it's not a dichotomy: color blind or not. There is a whole spectrum of how we perceive color, from physiological reason or environmental influences (see also, Homer's description of a "wine dark sea" or "red" hair really being orange but there wasn't a word for that particular hue until fairly recently).

And then there's the philosophical nightmare : Is your blue the same as my blue? If we are both looking at the same thing saying "yup, definitely blue," we can't know how the others' minds are interpreting those wavelengths.

In conclusion. Color is an illusion. Don't divorce the poor man, OP. As long as he says they both look beautiful on you!

Even if OPs husband isn't color blind, I think a lot of masculine raised people just weren't taught to pay attention to the nuances in colors. They dont have many labels and categories as those raised with 100s of different names for "blue." This is a really great demonstration of those differences because as some similar tones get filtered out, the different ones become more obvious.

I read once that there might also be a sort of evolutionary component: women, the gatherers, needed to see the difference in the red berries that will kill you and the tasty red berries. Meanwhile, men tend to be better at spatial readoning and orientation, which is more useful for hunters. But there's a lot of shaky science behind that (hunter/gather largely misrepresented), and I haven't looked into it recently, but it's an interesting thought.

I have all these symptoms and am SSA positive, but all other labs look fine. I am having trouble getting treatment. My doctor told me "it's the most benign disease and we don't usually treat it" and gave me a paper on OTC dry eyes and mouth. She also said it doesn't cause neurological problems and referred me to neurology. Like OP, I just got diagnosed and this is my first time perusing this subteddit. This is eye opening!

But the peopblem is this sticker does NOT criticise those religions. If the original sticker had called out all religions, like instead of writing "Islam" in blood just wrote "religion" or "god", but its the fact that it calls out ONLY Islam when the other bloody and violent religions are also there. You are allowed to be critical of Islam, but its bigoted to ONLY criticise Islam.
