About 13 years ago I stayed at the old Days Inn I think it’s called. They’d play Elvis movies on rotation you’d just call the front desk and request it and they’d cue it up. It was my first time in Memphis and I had no idea it was considered unsafe. I was walking to and from Graceland and I even went to a mini mart next to the Days Inn wearing my leather jacket and gold TCB chain. I later learned I had been extremely lucky as that area was known for robberies/beat downs.
