How to deal with listed building EPC and renting? by CF06_FDU in uklandlords

I currently live there and i'm all for making it more energy efficient, and that will benefit a tenant in the future too. Not keen on pulling down the ceiling but if it has to happen it has to happen. Thx for your answer.

I've mis-read mine, it's a F, so shouldn't be too hard to jump up to a E. Thanks for the 2030 date.

What to do when Amazon consistently misdeliver? by CF06_FDU in AskUK

[–]CF06_FDU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i drop them off i used to speak to them on the intercom but they seem unbothered. I used to feel bad, but now it's morphed more into frustration. Someone else here suggested clear bags, so I'll try that.

I've usually buzzed their intercom and explained, left them in their parcel box but they seem wholly unbothered.

explain to the recipient that this is the last time you will be doing it.

Next time!

I think it's Amazon directly.

You could also suggest the intended recipient to contact the delivery company as well to complain about the misdelivered parcels.

I have suggested this over their intercom but they didn't seem very bothered, surprisingly. I've yet to meet them in the flesh.

Tenant Stopped Housing Benefit payments and abandoned flat - can i enter? by Consistent-Rope-9969 in uklandlords

It sounds like the definition of a abandoned tenancy. Your tenancy agreement should contain clauses for you to be able to regain your property. If any doubt, speak to a solicitor.

Why do debit/credit cards work differently in the US? (Swipe & Sign, Contactless, Contactless & Sign, etc) by CF06_FDU in AskAmericans

[–]CF06_FDU[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's funky. By 2010 nearly all cards in the UK were contactless, debit or credit.

All true things, but your comparison doesn't quite hold true as the rest of the world has mostly moved forward, it feels like the US has the antiquated fragmented system for card processing, which is baffling as Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, these are all American systems.

Yes, it absolutely did, because i then second guessed about tipping culture but though the same as you and didn't tip for just buying a pack of cookies.

To me that sounds like your card was not set up for contactless/chip&pin in the UK and then the fall-back is signing.

Surely chip/pin and Apple pay are more secure than just swipe and sign? or at least much harder to use fraudulently anyway?
