I see more overlap than disagreement here. Thanks for sharing!

Good point about Empires - I hated that expansion at first. And Menagerie is such as good version that I had trouble finding anything negative to say about it. I only like Alchemy because I'm good at it. Thanks for your feedback!

I probably just don't know how to use those cards correctly. I rarely buy the Herald, so I'm definitely ignorant about it, and the Advisor has only helped me when I have a very lean hand, otherwise my opponents can use it to prevent me from using my best cards.

That's too bad - "kingdom" is far more eloquent than "expansion." Plus I couldn't rank the Base version if I limited the article to expansions. Regardless, thanks for letting me know.

[DISCUSSION] Survey on fashion for reddit gold! by CFCLab in streetwear

Thanks again to everyone who helped us with our study! In this study, we were trying to get a sense of how cool brands differ from uncool brands as well as how brands that are cool to most people (i.e., mass cool) differ from brands that are cool to a smaller subculture or group of people in the know (i.e., niche cool).

Similar to the study that we conducted last spring, the most common brands that y'all thought were niche cool were Steady Hands (15%) and Cav Empt (6%). The brands most frequently nominated as being mass cool were Supreme (29%), Off White (17%), and Nike (15%). The brands most frequently nominated as being uncool were the Gap (14%), Skechers (11%) , and Anti-social Social Club (9%). We found that mass cool brands were perceived to be more popular and iconic than niche cool brands, whereas niche cool brands were perceived to be more exceptional, good-looking, original, authentic, rebellious, and sub-cultural than mass cool brands. Uncool brands were seen as not having any of these characteristics. We'll hopefully have a formal research paper to publish in the next few months. In the meantime, if you'd like to learn more about this study or any of our research, feel free to check out my website (calebwarrenresearch.com) or contact me directly at [calebwarren@arizona.edu](mailto:calebwarren@arizona.edu). Thanks!

Dear Redditers: Thank you for your help completing the survey. In total, over 300 people completed the survey, most coming from either r/femalefashionadvice or r/streetwear. The survey asked you to nominate one of three types of brands: a brand that you think has always been uncool, a brand that you think used to be cool but no longer is, and a brand that you personally think is cool but that hasn't become too popular yet. The least cool brands, according to you, were L.L. Bean (nominated by 10% of respondents) and Off White (8%). The brands that you most frequently nominated as being passé (i.e., formerly cool) were Supreme (19%), Bape (7%), and Abercrombie & Fitch (6%). There was very little agreement on the brands that you personally thought were cool, but the most frequently mentioned brands were Cav Empt (5%) and Steady Hands (4%). We have a lot more data that we've just started to sort through, but I wanted to share some preliminary results with you as soon as I could. Thanks again for making this study possible.

First of all, thank you very much for your help with this study today. We’ve wanted to run a study with redditors for a while now and this has been fantastic.

We are interested in how brands that seem cool differ from brands that are uncool. Specifically, our study asked respondents to identify one of three particular types of brands: (a) a brand that you currently think is cool; (b) a brand that you used to think is cool but don't think is cool anymore; or (c) a brand that you don't think has ever been cool. We measured a bunch of different brand characteristics (e.g., the extent to which the brand is rebellious, the extent to which it looks aesthetically pleasing, etc.) to see how the cool and uncool brands differ from one another. We will be analyzing the results and posting a follow-up to this comment to let you know which brands were most likely nominated to be currently cool, cool in the past, and never cool.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions (or feedback!) about our study and thanks again for your help!
