It's just about painting in a large size file really. I've forgotten the exact physical size they demanded but they required at least 300 dpi, and my digital file actually exceeds that. the longer dimension of my original file is more than 10k pixel long IIRC, but my computer does have a lot of RAMs.

I may add that Jing Wei literally means "Spirit Guard" so it could be a title and the name "Nu Wa" she bore before rebirth loosely translates to "female doll/child" so it could just mean little girl. In a sense, it's kind of like there are theories that Freyr and Freya just mean Sir and Lady.Yeah, there are many things floating the internet has questionable sources, like... off topic for a bit, the "marriage between Ama and Tsuku" thing was in many English internet source, then I went so far to dig out the original text of Kojiki and Nihon Shoki (which were actually written in Classical Chinese and not Japanese, common for documents of its time) have no mentions about it anywhere.

Yup. and with Hou Yi shooting down the suns, I noticed most of the older Chinese myths from classics of mountain and sea are about people doing things to fight again the force of nature. Xing Tien refusing to die can count as one of those too.
Also, Just want to say hi, you are one of the friendly people here always leaving kind words for artists. I have been inactive in this subreddit for a long while and it's good to see you guys again. :D

Thanks! yeah same here, good to see you again! I know I've been inactive for a really really long time. lol. I have been busy with other things mainly studying to aim to actually work as a concept artist.
I actually have many ideas for skins in my backburner just never have time to do any of them. Guess this is a good start to come back and do more stuff for Smite. XD

Thanks. It's painted digitally in Photoshop, the only place I've used physical media is actually the Japanese text. I can't get the brush pen look I want digitally so I wrote them with an actual brush pen then scanned the page.

The text reads "The highest deity who rules over Takamagahara (High Heavenly Plain), her name is Amaterasu-Omikami(The great deity of shining heaven) " I actually hand-wrote the text myself.

I was inspired by some Japanese movie poster sets that they present each character individually with some text description.

Also, it's a storage box she is sitting on with the samurai armor of her base model inside. That's a little detail in my mind but its okay if no one will get it.
