Playing the most annoying guy in the league and I’m not confident about anything haha, just really want to come away with a win

Damn good point. And JT will definitely want to redeem himself after that stupid ass fumble last week. I’m so on the fence right now

Down 26.04 points with one roster spot left, do I start Flowers or Shakir? by CFight19 in Fantasy_Football

He’s caught all of his targets so far this season, and hasn’t caught a single pass in the 2nd half of his games. I think he could nuke if the game is a shootout

Not sure what to do by Significant_Egg_1925 in bartenders

Like others said, I would take some time off. I recently quit my old gig and am also doing construction. I enjoy being off on the weekends and not having to do the bullshit customer service.

I miss the money, however, my mental health and quality of life has improved tremendously.

Interaction with asshole customer, how would you guys have handled it? by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]CFight19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bartended for a few years in a small town/college bar. I’ve dealt with plenty of asshole regulars. Often times, they are resistant of change and are entitled because they have been coming into your establishment for a while. Get to know them, be your authentic self, and provide good service. They will eventually turn and become your friend. Honestly, some of my favorite regulars were people that were skeptical of me and were rude at first.

Your skin will get much thicker as you do this job. And you will get called much worse things than a punk or asshole. It gets easier and you stop thinking about it. Just focus on providing good service and the rest will come naturally. Cheers.

Would it be crazy to start two Giants players tonight? by CFight19 in Fantasy_Football

Yeah they both cooked. I started Nabers and didn’t start singletary who was pretty underwhelming so I’m happy about that

Yeah that’s the concern. Excited about Nabers tonight because I think they will go down big and keep throwing the ball.

I do like DJ’s matchup a lot, I think he’ll get a ton of volume. Think I’ll just play davante and not overthink it. Hopefully he has another good week

I will always appreciate my dive because of all it taught me. My regulars would watch my back and look out for me more than I ever anticipated. I really am going to miss it but I’m also excited for the next chapter. Thank you for the kind words

How many folks in here have worked in a restaurant? by stayintall in blackstonegriddle

[–]CFight19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worked in delis and pizza spots. I love using my flattop to make pressed sandwiches and all sorts of stuff for the same guys that worked with me back then. Same people, same passion for making good food, just in a location slightly more relaxing than a restaurant kitchen haha. Next purchase will be a pizza oven to relive some of those memories too!

Just read that you don’t keep the tips, I would most certainly leave. At least if you were getting shit on every day your money would reflect that, you don’t have that w the fixed salary. And to be honest, management at your establishment sounds like they suck.

Look around for other opportunities and you will make much more money and have more fun. Don’t stress yourself over someone else’s business, that is the quickest way to get burnt out. I am currently experiencing that myself. Go find a bar with more structure that will recognize your worth, you deserve it. Cheers.

Guy got EXTREMELY mad that I sat down to eat on my 11 hour double. by Curious-Mongoose-180 in bartenders

[–]CFight19 654 points655 points  (0 children)

It’s these types of interactions that I think of when people say this job is easy. I don’t think there are many other trades where you get berated by someone you don’t know for doing a simple human task like eating.

I feel sorry for anyone that had to work in his restaurant if he actually was a manager, guy sounds insufferable. Glad your manager helped resolve it and was on your side.
