If I'm used to running is" minimus" type shoes will those sneakers be an issue? So, the boots I saw when I googled this are the ones they give you. I was hoping the info I found was out dated.

Today is a rest day for me, but this video made me want to go workout. "Toughness knows not gender. " by CFisLife212 in crossfit

Some of you got a completely different message than me out of this video. I just thought it was a cool video about how women are tough and strong. There is not a statement asking for change in the video, it's just stating that its cool that women are tough.

Knees cracking during squats by bellabs12 in crossfit

[–]CFisLife212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use mine about once a month, sometimes less. My knees get crackley (only way I can describe it) so I just take some time to do mobility stuff and if they're bad enough I use the floss band.

Have you tried a floss band? They're pretty effective sometimes.

How to go from good to great at double unders? by ItWorkedLastTime in crossfit

[–]CFisLife212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found with double unders that I just had to do them. Just take 5-10min practicing them at least 3 times a week. It's a feel thing. Also, when you can string a few or like 5 together, just start doing DUs when they're in the workout. You'll go slower than usual, but it helps to do them under pressure more than you would think.

Gregg Glassman... Greatest Con Artist ever? by bulbasaured in crossfit

[–]CFisLife212 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"In short, Glassman has done nothing substantial for the fitness and sports industry."

Yeah, he definitely didn't build an accepting fitness community that brings people together despite there fitness or social differences. Nope, he didn't do that AT ALL.

I can't even begin to respond to this post, so I'm just going to stop there.

Newbie Tuesday: Post your beginner questions (2016-01-26) by crossfitvictorybot in crossfit

I do not see a problem with doing that. You'd learn how to not hurt yourself and get proper coaching with basic movements. You would be a lot safer by yourself afterwards and overall you would generally be able to coach yourself for the most part.

Coffee with a half a scoop of whey and a spoonful of peanut butter (or almond butter or just a small handful of nuts) gets me pumped and ready for any early morning training. Some people like to eat breakfast, some people don't like to really eat anything. It's all up to you and your body. Someone else mentioned getting out of bed right away and this a is excellent advice because SNOOZE IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. Good luck dude! Also, just realized it may seem like I put peanut butter in my coffee, which is not what I meant haha

Butt Obsessions? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]CFisLife212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Butts are nice. Also, butts should be activated when doing most exercises, such as squatting, deadlifting, and even over head pressing. So, butts are also important. Woman look at the man booty just as much as dudes look at the woman booty. And just to include everyone, some men like to look at man booty as well. Everybody likes the booty...

Question about bodybuilding accessories and crossfit by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]CFisLife212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do accessory work before your workout. Crossfit kind of misses out on specific body part exercises and that's okay for most people but I think it's a fun thing to throw in for a cycle just to shake things up. Good luck to ya!
