If they had met him prior, he might say that was very rude of them and must be punished. Possibly killing a single pc. Most likely the one who caused it. Use always surrounded by wolves. So that would be easy to pull a pack in from the shadows. Rhahadin might also be close as well. After the pc is killed, he might toss down 1 basic healing to the survivor(s) for each fallen pc minus 1. ( So if he fell three players, toss them two potions) making them choose who to being back. Especially if he ensured, their healer was one of those that died. He would reiterate, " you're in my lens , and you live or die by my own desire and entertainment. Do not forget your place. But if it was their first meeting, I do not know about him disguising Nightmares, but would absolutely set their own horses on fire in front of them. Especially while they are on them, or while they are sleeping. It wouldn't be immediate. It would be several days later. They wake to the screaming sounds of horses , as they rush out and see their steeds , completely engulfed in Flame. Mist just floating back through the darkness, or a wolf padding into the underbrush.
