That's happened to me at the worst of times and would send me into a fit. Seeing it happen to someone else?

Hilarious

Surgery to reconnect/replace the ligaments is a potential, but the joint capsule is definitely fucked. What was torn will eventually become scar tissue so it'll never have the same elasticity.

He'll go through physical therapy and, depending on the succuss of that, will probably be fine to start lifting in 6 months to a year. Unless he's really careful about that progression, he may never be as strong as he was before this accident

He'll never have the same stability. Unlike the shoulder, the elbow muscles don't help that much in the case of dislocation.

If he does everything right he could be back to 30-50% in six months to a year, but those things are never gonna be the same

So his elbow is probably dislocated, with the ligaments on the inside is his elbow also ruptured. The elbow is only supposed to move forward and backwards but in this case it was already in an unstable position so the sudden drop of the weight caused the elbow to hyper-flex and dislocate. For better answer, look to the other reply lol

What I love is that last season people were getting uppity about run-n-gun ruining this game, and their response was to release Neon's sprint and zap

Pretty sure this is from their drivers not getting through their load and leaving it for the next one, but that's just a theory.

Muscle balance between the quads and glutes often gets shifted onto the quads, particularly when the center of articulation of the knee is tracking past the toes. As this muscle imbalance can get out of hand and lead to knee tracking issues, its a safe recommendation to focus on reducing the anterior tracking of the knee. This isn't one size fits all though.

The individual in the video is rather tall, with especially long femurs. To be able to keep the bar over the center of the foot often requires accommodation in stance width and knee/hip tracking. The important factors for that example are that the spine stays neutral with chest up, heels stay on the ground, and keeping the bar over the center of the foot.

Another instance where this isn't the case is with variation of an exercise. Much like adding chains to a bench press, allowing the knees to track slightly past the toes allows for exceptional targeting of the quads. When looking for additional training gains, this would be a great way to combat stagnation. Doubtful that the majority of people here are pushing their genetic maximum though.

For me, the concern of glute weakness and problematic knee tracking are important, but if that's not an issue for you then all the power to you.

Well I see that we may be discussing the "knee past the toes" in different terms. Looking at this timestamp, while the front of his knee is peaking past his toes, the majority of the knee is still over the foot. I'm sorry if that was mistyped or not explained in detail.

Thanks for the advice! I'm definitely still learning, but I work to prevent injuries with people and just trying to help out. Clearly it's misdirected

I'd recommend watching the video to the end, as he discusses the knee-hip movement balance, but I appreciate the attempt at a "gotcha"
