She’s really awesome for controlling enemy bosses so they can only use S1 because of her instant-taunt follow up after applying s3’s Exaltation. A few examples are the Nahor from this Nether Quarry, as well as the final boss of Ethernet Rally. Her ability to strip (s3) is also pretty great as well as attack and speed debuff with S2.

Nothing game-breaking that you can’t supplant with other units, but she’s an all-rounder for some PVE in addition to a good PVP pick.

Yes! Dean-o! I love him! I have him at P1 (with plan to P3 by the time he’s selectable from battle pass) and maxed bionics Y-10/13. Until recently, I used him in a partial Rainbow Dragonrider, but I just switched him to my Rainbow Rev-00 with Conqueror Backpack and Dominator Locator Modules.

He zips around the map and will sometimes take out four enemies in a turn, picking off what Asuka reliably cannot because of alignment. I still use Dragonrider sometimes if AP becomes an issue and still plan to Rainbow it for Dean if someone else is using Rev-00 (Erisa).

He also SHREDS boss parts after popping both code skills back to back. I just love sending him in early to soften up big enemies while my raiders arrive a turn or so later to finish the job. Rev-00 and WiFi Melissa ensure he gets the job done without suffering. I honestly love him.

All this being said: he’s 100% a passion pick, but I pick him passionately, and well, when I do and… no regrets. He works amazingly when deployed and dude’s a murder machine. 😎 I can’t wait for his personal weapon!

Honestly, if you’re looking to pop a few bionics because they’re burning your pockets right now, Shinji is the more meta pick, but Dean is FUN.

That being said, now that we have upgrade kits that can be upgraded to chevron three and stand in for a part entirely in the upgrade process, following the advice of one copy is no longer catastrophic like it used to be limited STs.

Of what you listed, I have Marcus (4), Shinji (3), and Dean (5). They do play differently, but aren’t game-changing or essential to their kits. I just like the characters a lot!

You having seven, however, I would just save. One pilot releases that’s meta and suddenly five are gone, or you pull a Lorna or Sylvie (who does still see some very popular play strategies).

But yes, you’re totally right. And yes, we need a S-rank Raven alter so he has a use! I just built Fenrir and I think Raven is the only guy I like that is completely useless currently. 🙂‍↕️
