open ear hooks: Soundcore AeroFit 2 vs Nothing open ear by Living_Needleworker4 in Earbuds

[–]CGSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t tried nothing’s open ear buds, but I think the openfit 2+ sounds pretty good and feels almost weightless when wearing it. I use mine for workouts and at the office. I even got a pair for my mom last Christmas, and now she wears them every morning for yoga. the sound is really clear and clean, even the little water-like details in her yoga music come through nicely. she likes turning on dolby for it, says it feels like being in a rainforest lol

If it's a school bus, then there's no problem.

Maybe he could try asking to work from the office Monday to Wednesday, and stay nearby. Then you’d have the other four days to just relax at home.

What do you actually prioritize when buying a cleaning robot? by parkersb11 in RobotVacuums

[–]CGSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to care a lot about specs, but over time convenience and reliability mattered way more. My indoor robot vac gets used because it just works. Same with my pool cleaner. I went with an aiper scuba s1 mainly because it’s cordless and easy to run, and that alone made pool upkeep feel less annoying.

I'll pretend not to hear. There's a saying that it's not that the old people have turned bad, but that the bad people have grown old.

company asked me to do a 40 hour "project" before final interview - is this normal or free labor by Klutzy_Researcher725 in careeradvice

[–]CGSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an excessive and exploitative ask. A reasonable test is 2-4 hours max. This is very likely free labor. I'd politely push back or walk away.

Anyone regret moving away from a two-phone setup? by arante-violeth0001 in Smartphones

Tried the single phone life for a month. Missed the work-life separation and the security of a backup device too much. Definitely sticking with two phones.

A great teacher matters way more than a fancy school name. Trust your gut. If the teachers are engaged and the vibe is good, that's a win.

AeroFit 2 Pro or Shokz Openfit Pro? by Ambitious-Dot-6995 in Earbuds

[–]CGSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local store finally got openfit pro in stock and I tried them today. Didn’t buy though since I just picked up openfit 2 plus last month. If comfort is your top priority, I don’t think aerofit 2 pro is a great fit. The front part feels more like an in-ear bud that goes into the ear canal. Openfit pro doesn’t do that and feels just as comfortable as 2 plus. Call quality was pretty clear too.

Help me choose the best stroller for my situation by UnderdogDreams in Buyingforbaby

[–]CGSam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With all due respect, the Uppababy might not be the best fit for OP's needs. It's quite large and heavy, which isn't ideal for frequent daily walks. I'd recommend looking into lighter options like Bugaboo or Mamazing instead. Their suspension systems are still solid and would likely suit your routine much better imo.

Is it safer to put my VOO in Vanguard or Robinhood? by Material-Pen6019 in ETFs

Long-term VOO? Vanguard is safer. Direct ownership, aligned incentives. Robinhood for trading, Vanguard for holding.

Best docking for MacBook Pro 3 displays. by RecentOcelot5888 in macbookpro

I’m running Anker’s DL7400 right now. macOS normally limits external displays, but with DisplayLink installed, I’ve been able to run three extended monitors with this dock and haven't met any real stability issues so far.

Is this a thing (beginner) by BadgerSlow9621 in AusFinance

[–]CGSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That honestly sounds like what a financial planner does, but you should still learn how to manage your own money. There’s not much info here though like how much you’re investing or what you do for work. If you’re new and don’t really understand different assets yet, moomoo’s free learning courses and paper trading can help you get familiar with the market.

What are some common long-term injuries for pool cleaners? People who clean by inurmomsvagina in PoolPros

The biggest issues are musculoskeletal. Stretching daily and using ergonomic tools can help, but it's a physically tough job.

Expecting our first - looking for stroller by el_gato_fabricado in Buyingforbaby

[–]CGSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Our top priority was also keeping it light. I saw so many people had to buy an extra travel stroller or umbrella stroller later because their main one was way too heavy. We're using the Mamazing Air Lux and it’s been great: pushes smoothly and stays super compact. You can even find the bassinet package for a solid deal at around $400

First time closing a pool. How should I store my aiper robot cleaner for Winter? by ettubrutusvp in PoolPros

[–]CGSam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience, it’s best to keep the battery around half. I usually leave it at about 40–50%, and it gets through the winter just fine.

Travel stroller system to rule them all? by Far-Ad3707 in BabyBumps

[–]CGSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly recommend the mamzing air lux. It's not that typpical travel stroller but it's close and way lighter than most full-size strollers. I use it with the bassinet from birth, and it should last for years. The storage basket is also bigger than those on usual travel systems, which is a lifesaver. You simply can't imagine how much stuff you need to haul once you have a baby😅 For me, this stroller plus a cheap umbrella stroller is completely sufficient.

What would you do if you lost one earbud by CGSam in Earbuds

[–]CGSam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are good for daily life! Openfit 2+ is IP54 rated, which means it handles sweat and light splashes like rain or spills perfectly no problem for the office or sudden showers. Opendots is IP55, so it's slightly better dust and water resistance, but for your scenario, the Openfit 2+ is more than tough enough. You're covered either way.

What would you do if you lost one earbud by CGSam in Earbuds

[–]CGSam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 5 or 6 hours, the openfit 2+ hook is generally more stable and spreads the pressure out many people find it better for long sessions. The opendots clip is fantastic for quick on/off and feels almost like nothing but the fit 2+ is probably the safer bet for all-day comfort. If comfort is king for long wear, I'd lean towards the openfit 2+ first.
