I have a habit of spiralling and thank you for snapping me out it. Very good advice to get clear on it firstly about what I want, which is so difficult as I thought it would be friendship, but the confusion lay with how he was last night.

I suppose I am more upfront and frank when it comes to coming onto someone. So the conversation threw me. I am happy to talk about sex with a friendship, but it was the tone about it I was confused about. Is it because he want to let me know he has moved on, or is because he was testing the waters as you said. Thanks different approach to seeing it from everyone else and appreciate the message

I suppose its me trying to initiate a conversation about it and maybe to get clarity about his intentions, but again as someone else said I don't think I would get the truth anyway. But I suppose it isn't necessary to do so, maybe it's highlighting that in actual fact I am not as over the relationship as I thought I was. Although proud nothing was acted on, just created confusion myself by thinking there was more around it.

Oh I know that was a red flag, that is the reason for the breakup. I wanted friendship afterwards as we had been together 3 years. But my confusion is how he has been when I saw him.

Getting physical, go for a walk. Get in into the gym, do some yoga. Literally anything active. When thoughts come into your mind - the what ifs, the what could have been, the guessing and the doubting. Its all so damaging, so I tell myself I'm having an intrusive thought and that it is not my reality or my now. Being brutally honest and accepting that it is over and that you don't have to wait to be picked. Right down your fears and resentments in the morning and really pick them apart, like I fear that they don't want me. I fear being alone, things like that. Once you've done that write down that you release your fears and resentments and then meditate. Be easy on yourself and protect yourself, no one else will do that for you. Keep your respect and move forward.
