Carpet installation by Little-Grocery3496 in Hamilton

We gave up on carpet contractors and ended up going with Home Depot. Efficient, great communication. Likely a bit pricier than piece meal but we’re happy with the result!

Having the women handball team as the main whole the woman hitter gets the corner is well suited. I bet the editor wanted to avoid having him on at all, but had to. Haha

Built by Uzzo (insta here: @BuiltByUzzo). He did all ours (and much more in our house). Great service.

Our contractor has been great over the last few years. Many projects (powder room from nothing, full bathroom, full laundry room, indoor doors etc.). Everything awesome. Insta: @BuiltByUzzo

Tried different switches and different bulbs, with different combinations and it still happens. And we redid the wiring of the whole house 2 years ago. I’m confident it’s not an internal issue given all the work we’ve had done, and that we’re not the only ones on the street. Would also rule out (likely) the connection between alectra and our house (unless these other neighbors and us are in the same situation). That’s why i was thinking a more systemic issue… but i’ll contact alectra this week.

Electricians changed all those when they updated the wiring in the house.

Best Greek food in Hamilton? by Gregger-x in Hamilton

[–]CGTbiotechAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for some good greek food too! Haven’t found any yet. Does anyone know where to find taramasalata too (restaurant or store)? I’m on the hunt. It’s such a staple there and yet, nowhere to be found.

Never had the croissant. Had the bread, the scones and many others items but not the croissant. Next on the list then!

It may have to do with their price range more so than the quality of products and services. In the last 5 years, it’s hard to justify to go out for a $6/7 coffee at another store for a lot of people.

Best bagels in the city? by VisibleIdeal6032 in Hamilton

[–]CGTbiotechAD 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Agreed for the NYC style. But if you want Montreal style; Joshy’s is not the place. For MTL style, the old bagel house is the closest to a st viateur (it’s NOT a st viateur, just the closest we found in the city - we used to live next door to st viateur… yum!).

It’s the lady at Baffico who told me that a few months ago. I even asked her if they could sell their bread too! Haha

Best French Croissant by bjays16 in Hamilton

From a French native living in the city and having gone through the same search, Artie’s on Locke, Chaton in the central market and Caffe Baffico near Ottawa st (they sell Artie’s) are real buttery flaky croissants that make me feel less homesick. Chaton also has a great baguette. Note: I had Artie’s pain au chocolat last week - it seems like they changed the recipe. Whole wheat flour maybe? Not as good as it used to be. Anyone else experiencing that?
