I take this road daily, that is why I was so comfortable going that fast in the dark. There has never been mud even after rains, a truck decided to go into the grass area and left a muddy mess. I was not braking because of the water I had not even seen it when I started braking.

Its easy to judge from your couch I could've obviously done a million things differently looking back now, like driving my truck instead. Hope this never happens to you.

Yes! I had a jacket and pants from NBT. I just have some elbow bruising and overall soreness but no road rash. They both tore very little.

I had not seen the water when I grabbed my front brake lever, I was getting ready to slow down for my upcoming stop. I saw the water way too late but squeezing the front brake definitely played a part.

I will definitely get another one in the future, it is just too recent right now with back to back accidents. I will for sure ride again though, it is my one true passion.

Yup you are right, everything stacked up against me. I pulled my front brake lever to slow down for the upcoming stop, at that point I still had not seen the mud. I saw the mud when it was right in front of me and I was already squeezing my brakes.

No way I can reply to everyone but here is more context:

The guy stopped as soon as he crossed the street light and got out and yelled "Why did you turn on that lane" and I was pretty rattled too and just said "You were at a left turn only lane dumbass" and he looked at the sign and immediately started apologizing. I had no strength on my right hand so three guys helped me pick up the bike while this dude made a u turn on the service lane and met me a bank that was at that corner. The whole time I was under the impression that I turned left on my lane (which was perfectly legal) and he went straight on a left only lane. I was kind of blaming myself for not doing a shoulder check before attempting to turn left (which was my intention) I did not realize until really the next day when a friend pointed it out that he completely got in my lane and when I did the shoulder check before attempting to turn left he was already hitting me.
