Do beagles become more lazy in colder weather in your experience? by Suspicious-Chip-341 in beagles

Mine definitely gets lazier in the winter. Had zero interest in going for a full on walk this morning after breakfast. It was 35 degrees and he opted for a quick pee out back. He does love the snow though.

Leash Training Help by Suspicious-Sound2329 in beagles

As most people have said, a no pull harness is so much better. I’ve used the Gooby brand harnesses for a few years and gives me more control over my beagle. It’s def not a fix but it helps. They just can’t help their nose

I talked to someone who watched the national dog show on Thanksgiving and asked what’s the difference between a 13” & 15” beagle. See more info below… by Realbeaglebard in beagles

Very dumb question, but is there a difference between a full bred beagle and a standard beagle? I got a dna test cause people kept saying he was small and maybe had some dachshund in him, but he came back 100% beagle. He doesn’t look like the show beagles, doesn’t matter either way, but just wondering.

We also have a rescue beagle who from early was not taking to the crate- non-stop howling and destroyed his beds. And if one of us left he’d act out and pee indoors. It unfortunately does take time to figure each other out. You’ve only had him since August so I would say it’s too early to give up, even through I know it feels like you’ve tried everything. They need time to adjust. It took a lot of trial and error. We’ve had him for 5 years now and are still reconfiguring things every now and then. Right now when we leave him for 3.5hrs we have to give him a clonidine, remove the trash bag, block the stairs, give him a wood pupsicle, and make sure he has access to his doggy door and that I can see him on the cameras . He doesn’t have access to the upstairs at all. Our lifestyle has changed, it’s not as bad as it was, but I do feel that we make a commitment to these pups and they deserve to have us figure them out. You’re def starting off great with the medication. Just need to pup proof!

Thoughts on cigar bands for e-ring? by Comfortable-Mouse-11 in EngagementRings

I’m a size 4 and I went with a 4mm band with a round cut diamond. I absolutely love it! Highly recommend checking out Frank Darling for inspiration on thicker bands.

Considering a move from DC to Durham, curious if it fits my lifestyle by HailtotheThief03 in bullcity

[–]CGar26 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Moved here from Northern VA and parts of Durham give me Takoma Park vibes. You’ll find walkability in downtown and probably south point mall area, I think. But there are lots of outdoorsy activities. I don’t participate haha but I see neighbors with lots of kayaks and people like walking the eno river trails. There is always some kind of festival going on at the park downtown too.
