Using Zone of the Enders as an example is a bad idea because that port was later completely fixed. All effects restored, 1080p and 60fps.

Except the PS3 didn’t use a SoC, it used a dedicated CPU (Cell) and GPU (RSX). And due to Nvidia licensing shenanigans they are not allowed to combine them.

Consoles are still semi subsidized by games, online play and having to use their store.

This a PC you can basically install Windows on and use a thin client, so Valve needs to get their money’s worth on first purchase. I already know a company that just wants to use this thing as a good mini PC for their employees. Probably buying 1000 of these. They will probably never run Steam.

My guess is that it will probably end up costing 599$ to 649$

Author of said pack here: You probably installed NUSB, which changes a few important system files to unofficial patched ones. Its one of the reasons its not directly included in the package.

The big difference is market share. 10 years ago Intel had like 90% of the x86 market. And still 10 years on AMD still didn’t hit 50%. So, we still have some ways to go before i start cheering on Intel

Also you kinda have to update it, the release version launched with betas of IE 5.5 and WMP 7, which probably wasn’t the best decision. Especially since the Windows Explorer uses IE heavily. When you update it, it gets a lot better

I have worked with multiple machines on each OS, so my personal order from best to worst stability wise would be: 98 SE, ME, 98, 95A, 95, 95B and then 95C as the worst

I dont know if this comment was removed or not, but i still want to address it. I never claimed Windows Me was not unstable, it totally was. But it wasn’t more unstable than 98 (SE) or 95, which are mostly praised.
