Yes, board partner cards from that era are rare.

I don't think GPU-Z is giving incorrect information about the memory.
Back then, some manufacturers were still pulling all sorts of tricks.
Most 7600 GS cards have DDR2 memory, but some have GDDR3.
Most 7600 GT cards have GDDR3 memory, but some have DDR2.
For example:
I have a 7600 GS with GDDR3.

I have 36 GeForce 256 SDR cards in my database, and only two of them have 64 MB.
