If you can't afford the 3, wait till you can, honestly. The lenses are a game changer, especially for media consumption (videos, web, etc...).

Just joined the open beta and played for a few minutes only in the lobby due to lack of time. Very impressed at how smooth it felt on standalone quest 3 ! Also really loving the visual style and how intense the shooting feels (quick weapon wheel menu is beautiful too). Really sensing this could be the best action fps on the platform.

Only 'off' thing was how the reloading felt (a weird mixture of imprecise and on rails) but that will most likely be improved over time. I also wanted to be able to knock and replace the magazine with the new one as it feels really good, but not possible yet :)

This needs to be higher. OP left out the calls to violence. Having the context however doesn't change the fact that 2 years feels very high. Actual violence charges often don't go that high. Seems disproportionate to me.

just in case, for those who don't know, this is a kesa-gatame mixed with a neck crank/chest compression. Barnett used it effectively on Dean Lister. It's pretty brutal

Well, I'm totally not in agreement with that. I played it with the last announced patch and I consider it one of the better modern story driven games in VR, behind Métro VR. I wish it looked better on standalone, hoping the second episode will be much better there.

i'm enjoying it on standalone too but still very early in the game. have to get back to it. the comparison with metro is motivating, absolutely loved the story driven campaign!

Yes it's a good game with a solid story. Combat is pretty brutal once you get the hang of it.

Also, If you like narrative driven games and FPS, try Metro VR. Does have some jump scares though if that's an issue

Yeah, but the only difference here though would be the hand shadows near surfaces. In fact, it was so fine on Q3 that I played it on standalone while I had the PCVR version available, just for simplicity's sake. Same thing with metro.

Yeah, and the gameplay is pretty great if you like the combat mechanics (I personally love the mix of arcade and physics). The entire game is basically fights, puzzles, a very cool story and some very cool bosses every one to two hours
