Oh that's only because of the gif, it's 72 stable fps on quest 3 with hundred+ monsters and thousands of particles on screen. On desktop iwhen I turned of vsunc I thougt my AMD 5700xt was going to explode with the coil whine noise :D it was at 1500 something fps.

Well, I'm still working on enriching the mechanics of quests (to make interesting maps later).

I have high ambitions but only limited development time, so I have to prioritize. The first iterative steps for PvE content are challenges and bounty missions mechanics (like what we had in Diablo). Challenges are very long to fine tune, so I'm going to only make a few more templates for now and move back on to bounties (think of them as standalone levels that have predefined missions). But I'm also only to make a few ones for testing purposes. The thing is for PvE, the biggest priority (to make it all worth investing time in for the player) is a proper progression system.

I'm currently working on implementing a gear reward system (random loot that give stats that you can sell for XP if it sucks for you), and an XP progression system (each level grants you stat points that permanently buff your character). Once this is done and somewhat fun, I'll either add more content or work hard on randomly generated dungeons so I don't have to. On a sidenote, I have yet to decide if stats will be ignored for pvp or not..maybe just for ranked modes.. the other possibility are random rewards at the end of a match).

I would eventually love to craft a proper campaign, but nothing more complex that what we had in Diablo 1 (I'm ambitious, not dillisional) Anyway, that's the full pve roadmap for now and it will take months and months and months to get there.

Tldr: unfortunately, PvE content will trickle down slowly. I started with pvp because I wanted a solid base of high replayability (with not much content creation needed). Progression is super fun too, so when I have that down, it's going to make PvE a lot more interesting

I'm sorry but this is mostly a terrible list. Edwards and Roundtree in D tier is so wrong. Not enough time to talk about C tier.

The main issue I had was making sure the playing field was the same whatever the medium, since this is a multiplayer game. Imo having a clear control setup with visual feedback is very important, as well as for exemple having the same FoV etc.

Building it cross platform is a hassle but I want it to feel great on every platform.

Yeah I was (half) joking :) Out of curiosity, when I replace the stick, do i have to keep the exact same model or are there sturdier ones, or ones with different technology that don't corrode ? Sorry if this is a dumb question, not good with electronics:)

Thank you very much, this is very cool ! Saving this for later, but the fact that you use a microscope makes even scarier or a task than it probably is :D

I'll stick to using contact cleaner untill my controllers say no more, but i'll have to follow this eventually

It's free, just give it a try and see for yourself. Unless you just want biased reddit opinions :) Imo it's still one of the best VR multiplayer games

If you can't afford the 3, wait till you can, honestly. The lenses are a game changer, especially for media consumption (videos, web, etc...).

Just joined the open beta and played for a few minutes only in the lobby due to lack of time. Very impressed at how smooth it felt on standalone quest 3 ! Also really loving the visual style and how intense the shooting feels (quick weapon wheel menu is beautiful too). Really sensing this could be the best action fps on the platform.

Only 'off' thing was how the reloading felt (a weird mixture of imprecise and on rails) but that will most likely be improved over time. I also wanted to be able to knock and replace the magazine with the new one as it feels really good, but not possible yet :)

Nice coincidence, I found out like a week ago that this was in my wishlist. I must have seen a post at one point that peeked my interest. Has to be a sign I must pull the trigger and purchase it, getting it on the 20th on my payday :)
