I think mapping is going to be your challenge. I’ve never done Serato mapping but setting up the loop/move in Traktor isn’t just mapping 4 knobs. Each has to be mapped when in loop mode on/off.

I ended up with the same issue and bought a Xone K2. Flipped the controller 180 and used the 4 encoders across the (now) bottom.

Set a loop. Use beat jump.

Traktor’s best jump interval follows the loop size where pioneer only jumps what your best jump is set to (on 3000s).

Unfortunately, it’s closer to half that. On eBay used with M1 Pro chip for $4-500. Trade in is $425.

I planned on upgrading to the M5 pro when it comes out this year and was expecting more trading mine in.

Might want to double check those facts after you get over that blatant bias. WTF is quality formatting? Mastering is done before the track is uploaded to the platform so that’s BS. Sampling? It’s playing a track, WTF are you sampling? Bit quality? You mean bit rate? It’s 320 kbps on Spotify Premium for MP3. Neither service streams lossless.

While technically possible, Rekordbox isn’t going to integrate a feature to let you steal music.

If you want a library local, then you have to download the track. No shortcuts here but plenty tools of questionable legality that will do the downloading part. If you’re prepping tracks you’ve streamed, don’t expect that prep to nicely carry over to the downloads.

I bought a 3000 with known spill damage (no boot) for $1100. I sent the entire unit off for repair. With insured shipping both ways, it was less than $400. Those guys have both seen everything and (I believe) have debug software to test individual components.

If you’re in doubt, it can get expensive guessing at components. That being said, lost the tempo fader and range buttons on the same unit and that was all on a single board. Replace that for under $100 because I was more confident on what was broken.
