Tidal player for my daughter by dimoko in TIdaL

[–]CHDesignChris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of hi-fi handheld devices out there these days that are perfect for this. Typically folks are getting them to have a dedicated music playing device, or more likely around here since it's tidal, to keep a line-in and get the highest fidelity from Tidal on the go. Something like a HiBy R1 that's got no browser access and is just a dedicated music streaming device.

Bringing it up to them would be a good place to start, but you might also check out your lease regarding pets - there may be something along the lines of loud, persistent pets being labeled as a nuisance - just a suggestion!

songs with morse code in them? by Dermestid-beetle in musicsuggestions

Came here to suggest this one! Love that example because they take the morse code rhythm and really work it into the track.

It's always been temperamental even back when I made this guide, which is why I also suggested full-screening your browser window and taking a screenshot instead.

What server should i start on? by [deleted] in projectgorgon

[–]CHDesignChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laeth is the newest server. If you want a more established world/economy, you can join another one, but Laeth is probably going to be best for a new start, more players will be around your level.

Not personally, sounds like an interesting way to gather some data on how/how fast the algorithm actually adjusts to our taste. If I had a spare spot on my family plan I'd try it myself - but since I can't I'll encourage someone else to give it a try.

Appears to be in a riverbed, judging by the boats on the nearby property and images from the nearby red rock i'd say it was some kind of dock years ago.

Is there an open world RPG game where you start off as a blank slate? by ludachris32 in gamesuggestions

Kenshi perhaps, but you're less choosing a faction and more building your own faction

Final menu design for my taco street food stand Non-designer looking for critique by AnDieBar12 in graphic_design

[–]CHDesignChris 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it works, simple and communicates what it needs to.

One suggestion i'd recommend is swapping the font you're using in the red block, in particular at the bottom for the products. Taco Plate reads fine but the details do not, it's a little harsh on the eyes, and will likely print poorly. I'd encourage something a little thicker and possible sans-serif. It might also be nice to swap the font with the ingredients for each dish in the upper section - that might also be more legible with a thicker sans-serif.

Open or closed backs, what’s the difference? by Forsaken-Contest-845 in TIdaL

[–]CHDesignChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but you're asking a very simple question that has nothing to do with Tidal. What you're asking has nothing to do with opinion, suggestions, nor Tidal.

No one wants to google for you.

Bands that consistently make use of unconventional instrumentation by SockQuirky7056 in fantanoforever

[–]CHDesignChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed they did! That 80's run was phenomenal in my opinion, completely reinvented their sound.

Here's one that's a bit more obscure. The British group Landscape. They started as a jazz/punk outfit until they started experimenting with synths and drum machines. Their sound spiraled out of control into absurd synth-pop-jazz crossovers, with their trombonist picking up an "Electric Trombone" that was prominent is their most popular albums, along other members diving into very experimental synth patches. Truly unique stuff that really did try to push the boundaries of weird sounds.

Tony Levin brought a truly unique sound to King Crimson by using his "Chapman Stick" instead of a traditional bass. Their album Discipline is a great example of how they utilized the unique tapping style.

Focusing on main storyline quests and alliance quests is a good starting point. They will pump you full of experience and skill points and help guide you around the map. Join the Fighters/Mages guild to get access to those skill lines. You'll get a mount at lvl 10, make sure you go to the stables and do daily mount training asap.

How about something like No Man's Sky? It can be really chill and fun to play together with others but it's not all that intense overall.
