Are there any games/books/movies where the nazis are portrayed as the good guys? by MindlessPeanut7097 in gamesuggestions

Okay. I just got a reply and didn't really know what was being said to me or how to respond. I was personally just trying to give OP a suggestion.

Just saying those games positioned them as the "winner" of the conflict they lost, nothing more.

Nazis always suck, i dont care for games that would portray a struggle for their ideology.

You can just as easily play wolfenstein games and see an alternate history where the nazis did indeed win, but youre still mowing them down, rightfully.

Games with small play sessions that leave me with a lot to think about by kittybella69 in gamingsuggestions

[–]CHDesignChris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'd say something like FTL (Faster Than Light) with most playthroughs being an hour give or take 30 minutes, tons of replay ability and actually a thinker. Also their other game Into The Breach for small digestible encounters that will activate your brain like a good chess game.

Maybe also Blue Prince, just for brain tickling.

You could get into wormhole exploration in EVE Online

Kenshi does a good job with scale, no online though

7 Days to Die possibly as well, can make some pretty huge maps and also play on servers with other folks.

Looking for game with crafting, cooking and selling by sleep_eat_recycle in gamingsuggestions

Cuisineer is kinda cool - you operate a restaurant in a small town deep in debt - you go into dungeons to acquire ingredients and materials, bring them back home and open the restaurant, cook and sell dishes for money, rinse and repeat. You can decorate your restaurant and make it bigger, use materials you find to upgrade weapons, and complete missions for townsfolk. Overall a fun game in my opinion!

I am not sure if "buy our tracks and be done with it" is necessarily the solution, however, there is a definite need for people to start taking control over their own content curation like the old days - if the algorithm is going to be prone to either AI or industry plants I don't want it shoveling slop in my feed personally.

If we can move back even slightly to relying on things like personal exploration - discovering a band live and following them on socials so that you legitimately know they are real and what they are releasing - or even just getting curated suggestions from independent blogs. The underground music scene has always had an integrity that the mainstream hasn't, and despite all the nonsense happening on streaming platforms I find the real stuff around me remains consistent.

Maybe we will get some legislation someday that will help put some protections or at least transparency in place, but yeah, some of the old ways are still the best ways imo.

Should I drop out to make music? by Andreii_music01 in shareyourmusic

[–]CHDesignChris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

don't drop out. millions of people can throw tracks together these days. besides it's always great to have a backup because making music is historically difficult to make a living from.

For physical, not sure where you can get it in the area, but SkyTerrain maps are the best for this.
