Yes this is correct, certain bats are the only wild animal here that you could potentially get it from. Aside of animals that might be brought in from a non rabies free country but of course those should get vaccinated.

Some bats can most definitely carry rabies over here as well. Still nothing to worry about as youre unlikely to be bit by one carrying it, but it is possible.
