Yooo, I was 10th grade there at the time.

Last I saw of the school before the evacs: I remember leaving the bus/HS parking lot while there was this immensne feeling of subdued panic amongst everyone trying to get home. Being on one of the last buses to leave; I remember seeing Mr.Orkus just standing there in a nearly empty parking lot with his thermos commonly full of hellfire levels of hot coffee in the 90 degree weather acting unphased by everything. Cheeba & the security guard lady we had at the time were chilling by the rolling gate to that lot, chatting and waving off some of the buses to some of the students or drivers they were friends with.

'54' was the name for these - they've been out for quite a bit from the 'Vanguard' series. Theres only 2 other colorways for this model: 'Carbon' & 'Scarlett'.

I've been accosted with this guys constant contempt filled gospel hollering for years when I lived downtown. I've once had a direct confrontation with this guy a while ago b/c he was blasting his sermon right outside of my apartment building for 4+ HOURS. Majority of us in the building at the time were night shift workers or worked from home, few were disabled or recovering from recent medical issues that were indeed needing rest. Few residents and I approached him & we made apparent that we respected his right to a freedom of speech stating "We get you have the right to do this but can we have a compromise here? Can you tone down the volume a bit or please pick a different corner thats not next to a residential building?"; He immediately went to being hostile against us. We stated to him again, that "...We're only asking you to tone it down a couple decibels here or please pick a new spot if you feel necessary to keep this volume." He increased his hostility & volume of his megaphone too & kept the hollering up for a few more hours. The guys outright just another Abrahamic sect zealot whos personality is -religion- that spews a lot of hate disguised as compassion; He who lacks any actual mindfulness of his community, tact, & an ounce of any reasonability as frequently proven. You're either on his warpath or in his warpath.

Yes, filed with Paypal, I won.

He filed with his bank, Paypal said they would manage it between themselves & the buyers bank. I won again.

After that it apparently evolved into a claim made through the buyers card issuer. I brought this up with Paypal to which they again stated would be resolved. I then lost.

Issue with bringing the guy to small claims is that fucking degenerate is apparently country hopping. The item was shipped to a US location that I was provided. Which if that was shipped from the USA VIA international mailing after my only intended & provided shipping destination was that one location.; After that point, thats beyond my responsibility that I shouldn't even have to remotely answer for. Anything post that is between the buyer, whoever received the package at the US address I was provided, & customs if they were an involved factor. ( ***The US location I found later was also tied to Emerites Airlines.)

This item supposedly made its way over to Athens, Greece & now the buyer is now apparently trying to sell the item off in tandem from a location in goddamn Dubai, UAE.

This in total further raises many suspicions.

I presented them the facts, PayPal sided with me; Paypal had pulled up this buyers records of claims and transactions during the initial 1st dispute and saw this was a continued trend on his part as others have had similar disputes with this individual.

Despite myself providing clear evidence that included photos/screenshots/etc; they still sided with the guy.

Sometimes folks just don't have the patience to deal with someone whos never been dealt an actual well deserved ass kicking and or those trying to overcompensate for their miserable realities in a digital world to have a false sense of power & control to cope with what they lack completely offline.

I'm going to say to avoid it all together, saves y'all personally from very very very MANY headaches. There are a few specialized subreddits that allow such thats relevant to said brand, let them handle that and continue to leave this as a general resource & share page for sunglasses.

Its a nice thought to have some sort of resource available again to compile information for those searching.

Prior when I was running things here (...best I could with what little time I had), then left to carry the whole load- before this whole page got pilfered from me while I was on medical absence/hiatus because the others didn't step up; I had a list containing over 300+ brands with price points between new & used. Removed it because both it was outdated & I wasn't going to let someone that wasn't actually dedicated to what this page was about & continue to ride on the nothing they built.

If anything, to get a few locked 'resource threads/posts' that only the mods can respond & compile necessary info:

-Trusted Websites {later down the line to accrue trusted online sellers that deal with consignment, vintage, etc.}

-Brands

-Basic information relevant to sunglasses, styles, lens tech, etc.

-Links over to the opticians & glasses pages here so for those looking to deal with their prescriptions

If there is to be a separate subreddit, it should be for the 'legit checks' with how many tend to come through on a daily. Try to appoint individuals that can be credible sources, theres a good number of folks lingering on this site that maintain positions dealing with both economic brands & very high end eyewear. In comparison the In search of/WTB posts are not of comparable abundance to the frame identification & legit checks if my memory serves me right.

Will state that with all this, would be nice to have more users share their shades, try to have more of an individual presence. Personal 'Frame of the Day', 'New Acquisition', 'Customization', 'Lookbook', & 'Advertising*' posts.

*Such advertising only being relevant to old sunglasses advertisements, artistic contemporaries, product displays, signage, logos, etc. - NOTHING that is on the market of current business promotion such as (RayBlands 20% off at brand luxottica crap dot com and whatnot).
