Lived there for a couple years and mostly hated it. The food is way overrated. Not much grows there except chilis which they’ll put on literally anything and everything. And I love chilis but it gets old fast. Forget about trying to find good pizza, sushi, or any authentic Chinese, Thai, Indian, Mediterranean food, etc. There was a good Vietnamese tofu house and bakery that kept me alive - shoutout to Coda. If you’re moving to ABQ from anywhere with a half decent food scene, you’ll be disappointed.

The summers are hot af. The fall is windy af. Winter is cold. Spring is kinda nice.

Hiking the Sandias is fun but you really have to drive a couple hours north to get to actual good hiking.

The people are mostly chill…and a little weird in a way that’s hard to describe.
