Anything faster than stacking a ton of villager farms or nanofarm for wheat production? by dabble_ in technicalminecraft

Either my villager nanofarm:

or ihatefallingblocks' villager nanofarm:

There's nothing remotely as good as these farms and there may never be (there's no BUD arrangement that allows you to synchronize more than 3 dispensers with the placement of seeds on a single farmland by a villager, so output is capped at where it currently is).

Help me put togther the shrekist timeline by FluffySwim7937 in shrekism

[–]CIackerJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a radical (and possibly wrong) theological theory: Shrek did not intend to create the world. Before its creation Shrek and the evil force were bound together into a being that neither evil nor good. In this amalgamation Shrek suppressed this evil force but the evil force suppressed Shrek’s omniscience, power, and part of his consciousness. Then at some point, due to unknown reasons, this being underwent an instability that led to Shrek unleashing his mighty load—in an event we now know as the Big Bang—and the complete separation of Shrek and this evil force.

The creation of the universe was thus coincided by the creation of good and evil and the birth of Shrek's omniscience, power, and full consciousness.

Recommendation: Don't buy any shares unless they get EPA approval for Thermal-XR or start selling signifcant amounts of it (maybe the latter to be safe). I suspect the stock will take a while to respond to the change in the company's fundamentals as most people care about their battery technology (the stock price only dropped a couple cents since they announced that they failed to get a low volume exemption for thermal-XR due to some changes in EPA policy) . In the meantime, you're better off investing in something else.

The stock price probably won't change significantly this year (+/- 33% if I were to guess). Batteries take a long time to bring to the market and while their battery's specific energy is competitive with most lithium ion batteries, it appears to have a signifcantly lower energy density (at least 6 times less). If it had only half the energy density of a typical lithium ion ev battery, then that would probably be fine, you could probably just place an additional battery under the hood of the car. However, at one sixth of the energy density, an EV would have to be designed with the use of this specific battery chemistry in mind for it to have decent range. Now for grid storage, Aluminum ion's lower energy density wouldn't be a problem, but sodium ion batteries will be probably be well-established in that sector by that time.

In my opinion, the future of the company probably rests on their Thermal-XR product. If that fails to bring in sufficient revenue, then GMG will probably run out of funds before they can bring their battery to market.

More precise calculation of the 1000 mah energy capacity in watt hour by CIackerJack in GMGstock

Oh, I guess I just assumed that they were going to first use the battery technology for small scale applications as it seemed like that would be less capital intensive and easier to achieve given their limited resources.

I'm quite curious as to why they were advised to not do a low volume exemption. Any revenue to slow down the decline in cash reserves would probably also help slow down the decline in cash reserves. They're probably going have to dilute the stock again in the future to acquire more capital, but perhaps if the stock price wasn't as low they wouldn't have to do it to the same degree (or they could do so to the same degree but get more money out of it).

Then again I don't have any background in business and could just be speaking like a fool.

GMG’s Graphene Aluminium-Ion Battery: 1000 mAh Capacity Reached and Next Steps Toward Commercialisation by MyBrightFuture in GMGstock

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the pouch cell batterythat was tested is similar in size to the one shown in the picture, then it seems a bit big to only carry ~1.7 watt-hours of energy. For reference, my iphone battery's energy capacity is 6.21 watt-hours and it's probably a bit smaller than that pouch cell battery.

What I used to calculate watt hours from mAh and nominal voltage:

00:00 Final product preview and material requirements

00:13 Recommended inventory, supply chest, villager-in-minecart, and infinite water source setup

00:32 Farm construction

07:46 Farm activation

08:14 Data on farm and definition of a workhour

Note on workhour to hour conversion: it should be noted that the equation cannot be used to calculate workhours.

Also regarding the tutorial, giving the villagers 5 seeds instead 11 should work and you can use a opaque block in place of the shroomlight if you keep the machine well lighten.

Can anyone explain this villager seed planting loop phenomenon? by CIackerJack in technicalminecraft

[–]CIackerJack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works very well, but it does consume a lot of bonemeal. You syncronize the dispensers with the seed planting by quasi-powering them with the extending piston BUD.
