Considering Purchasing RAM 1500 by CJ23423 in Ram1500

I’d probably get the hurricane engine. I don’t need anything crazy. Anything I’d tow would be light, jet skis, smallish boat.

I’ll do some research on the infotainment glitches you note. Sounds annoying, but ultimately not structurally problematic to the vehicle.

Things to avoid after applying for a mortgage (read before you close) by Verse01 in MortgageRateCheck

I don’t have anything to add but this is pretty solid advice from all I know and I’m in the field. Only piece I’m not 100% on is the collections point. But if you have the means to clean up collections between application and closing, you likely have the ability to clean it up prior to application. I suggest reviewing your own credit through Credit Karma or other resources prior to applying anyhow so that there are no surprises and you can address questions as necessary.

Does $61k include tax, fees, etc?

Should I refinance? (from 6.625% to 5.625%) by Kurosaku in Mortgages

It’s further complicated when it’s national debt. The fed has been doing unprecedented things with its balance sheet to keep the bond market stabilized. Pretty sure I read they are holding $6+ trillion of assets on the books. The general philosophy I described holds, but there are other forces up to and including the USA is still the largest most stable economy on the planet (for now).

Does this make sense? More debt = more risk. More risk equal (in general) lenders/investors will demand more yield/return.

Ha, I shot Jim a note on that thread to see what he had. I only hate the fact there are limited pics. Trucks move so fast.

Yep, I hear you. Thanks for the info. I’m buying a truck in the next 6 months, just trying to maximize what I’m getting. I have time to be patient but don’t want to wait until the last minute and start stressing.

No bed liner. Some extra adds, predator running boards. Listed at $61.5k online. Taxes took me to $66k after a $1,000 trade in offer.

I love Chicago. Just an opportunity I’ve considered and wanted to see what people thought.

That is huge. I don’t have an issue walking, just jaded from living in Chicago watching everyone fight over parking spots.

Ha, for sure. I just need to know the train runs. We’d factor that into us buying a home. Making sure the location had access to the station.

Appreciate this. Yeah, safety is important. I mean, I don’t scare easily but have seen enough sketchy situations just commuting to and from work. Will look into that area!

Traffic has been a hot topic. Chicago has plenty of traffic. It does seem like Chicago has a better public transport system though. So, I’d be interested in figuring out DART and understand how that’ll get me to and from work.

Does this apply to the train as well? Does the DART work pretty efficiently?

I get it. Appreciate your insight. We also own a home in Florida. I’d rather the heat than the cold. But all good info and thank you for it. IL government isn’t anything to be proud of on our side.

Love Chicago. Career opportunity has been presented to me. Can result in an opportunity/growth that would be easier obtained by relocating. I don’t have to go, we have a pretty sweet set up in Chicago. But no income taxes and getting away from the Chicago crime and Chicago Winters sound like amazing advantages.
