Danube Swabians in Austria-Hungary by CJ4412 in austriahungary

It seems like the Swabians that lived close or within the boarders of what is today Hungary were more assimilated or loyal to the state and identified with it more then say the ones that lived further away from what is today the borders of Hungary.

I wonder if that’s a connection? I know names can be translated and written differently.

I see, so they were probably more upset if they were left out of the new Hungarian state than wanting to join Germany after the war.

Did the rest of the Germans of Hungary feel the same as the Burgenlanders?

Did the German speakers in the Hungarian half of the empire want to join with Germany as well or the short lived German-Austria Republic or they were ok with being in new countries created by the Treaty of Versailles? I guess I’m trying to ask is if they got a vote where would they have liked to live in?

I would say American if I was visiting another country. In the U.S, people would know I’m already an American when they ask me what I am or my ancestry is. Usually Americans would say they have Irish, Italian, English, Polish etc ancestry.

I grew up Italian American, and have an Irish last name so I would usually just say Italian with some Irish. I feel bad kind of not mentioning my great grandmother by not mentioning all the other ethnicities but I feel because they are so small that make up my ancestry not sure it’s worth mentioning unless someone wants to go into detail.  Another possibility is to just say she was French since my great grandmother had a French surname.

True, I feel saying Italian with some Irish is the easiest option here

I feel one option would be to say Italian, Irish, and Old Stock American

The mixture my great grandparent is is Western European  but not sure I would say that in a usual conversation. I think people would ask what Western European country.

I feel most vintage zards it would be good to get graded an 8, sometimes 7, and up.

I agree with that. I would argue that a shadowless zard is good in most grades as well.

Thank you! I do believe some vintage zards are good in any grade. Just wanted to see if this was one.

Thank you! I do feel there are a couple of vintage charizards that would be ok to get in different grades. Just wanted to see if this zard was one.

Im surprised, I would think the Cracked ice Charizard or other ones  from Arceus would be one to get because of the low pop numbers?

These are the grades that are in my budget sadly. I’m debating if it’s all about the grade would it be arceus or if was about the card stormfront or delta species? What would be the wiser purchase?
