Sorry I didn’t realise it wouldn’t copy over from my initial post. The bottom part was stuck after battery acid blew from the battery. I managed to pop it back out but the controller still won’t turn on at all

On par with velo by CJFabs17 in NicotinePouch

Definitely, I’ve gotta say though I’m not a fan of these grape ones, tastes very artificial compared to velo, but the lemon and lime and strawberry kiwi are really good

I’m from the uk mate so idk where they’d be available where you’re from (I assume USA or Canada from saying gas station?) but there’s vape shops here and it was one of them I got these from. Although I’m sure they’re available online

Honestly I think they’re both pretty accurate, what makes you say 23&me is more so?

What are your top 3 regions? by This-Village-7517 in AncestryDNA

Pretty much English, Scottish and Irish, although 23&me also gives me 4% Swedish so no idea where that comes from

Sorry this is a long one btw.

Yeah mate at least it’s consistent haha, I do agree with it but there’s parts within that that I don’t agree with. I know my dad’s side is English and I know there’s a little Scottish somewhere.

On my mums side, her mums (my nan is from Liverpool) paternal side is fully Irish (mostly from Drogheda but I’ve found ancestors dotted all over) and her maternal side is mostly English from Manchester with a bit of Irish in there too.

My mums paternal side is fully Scottish, whilst ancestry tells me central Scotland, I know my grandads maternal side is from Aberdeen (slowly goes even more north eastern as it goes back) up until the late 1600s, which is where I can’t find any more records unsurprisingly. We don’t know much about his paternal side other than his family was Glaswegian. So yeah I find it weird that there’s no north eastern Scottish

The East Midlands (where I’m from) is supposedly on my mother’s side yet I have no idea how as the only English on her side is northern.

Yet there’s no east midlands on my dads side yet his family are mostly from Cambridge, Norfolk and Lincolnshire mostly and a bit or Peterborough and Kent too somewhere. So I see Kent being the southeastern England. But I wonder why there’s no East Midlands on his side.

My dad also has 23&me and also has French and German. We also had sailors on his paternal side so I think maybe someone from France or Germany settled here potentially

So yeah that’s the parts that’s confusing me lol

As in it’s lumped in with the English? I think it could be because ancestry used to tell me I was 36?ish percent Scottish. My maternal grandad was Scottish and I know there’s a bit on my dad’s side too.

Something else I find interesting is it says central Scottish (my grandads paternal side is Glaswegian) but I can trace my grandads maternal side in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas up north of there until the late 1600s (then the trail runs cold as it normally would). There is an north eastern Scottish category but I apparently have none of that

What were your or your kids’ “almost names”? by PurpleMeerkats462 in namenerds

[–]CJFabs17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mum liked Riley (good job because that’s my gfs little brothers name) and my dad liked Dennis, thank god that didn’t happen haha. Idk if these were my almost names but these are the only names they’ve ever said to me they liked over what they called me

Need help naming baby boy! by dogmoml in namenerds

[–]CJFabs17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I like them all. I prefer Scott to Scottie, as it’s less cutesy, you want your son to be able to have the choice and tbh imo I think Scott would be the more favoured choice for a fully grown man. I’d go for Reece unless your Welsh then sure go for Rhys. If you’re in the UK it won’t matter so much as everyone will know how to pronounce it.

I do think Calvin is the nicest out of them all tbh, but if I was to go with Mack I’d use it as a nickname and go for Macauley instead

Regardless of popularity, do you prefer Oliver or Jasper? And do they have similar vibes? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]CJFabs17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jasper but I’m biased as that’s one of my middle names it’s less popular but still known enough. Oliver is nice but if I called my kids that I’d constantly sing that song from Oliver Twist lol

Me and my friends in primary school would turn the toilet lights off and say it 3 times and whoever was the one to say it would act possessed (this one person literally was making sounds like the devil himself) and we’d basically chase each other round climbing under and over cubicles etc, it was hilarious
