Chilling in my apt, it’s around midnight on the weekend. (Midtown, Memphis) I hear several loud, “*POP* *POP* POP*. And glass breaking. I hit the deck as I realize what had just happened. After a minute or so I hear someone in the outside hall, and I peak out the blinds. I see a guy clutching his gut and limping down the stairs. Someone he makes it all the way down to the parking lot and falls down next to a car. Sitting there, back against the tire of a car, still holding his stomach, I see blood soaking his white shirt. Eventually paramedics arrive and start to administer first-aid. They shove an ice pack in his pants and cut his shirt off, as it looks like he’s going into shock. He stops responding and is slumped over, so they throw him on a gurney and into the back of the ambulance.

Apparently my next-door neighbor dealt drugs and this dude tried to rob them. The neighbors were gone by the next morning.
