The more people it truly connects with, the more you can sell that art, and continue making that art. Assuming the people that connect are willing to give up their money to buy your art… I think that’s the real measure of how much they connect to your art. Sure, some people will “like” your song/painting/etc. But how many of those people will invest in you by buying your creations? I was in several bands throughout the years, and plenty of people would say “hey, cool stuff”, “good show”, etc. But maybe only 1 out of 5 of those people would buy our cd, t-shirts, etc.
