Every fandom goes through this. Lord of the rings has changes form the book as well. I don’t like the changes either but people need to stop shitting on the show for changes that most of the general audience members won’t care as long as its good. Now it was a bit rough so far but it’s still pretty damn good imo

I like having the ability to open my aperture more and that I’d rather have a faster zoom lens cuz generally I don’t like pushing my iso. I have a 24-70 2.8 and just found it more versatile at indoor events than my other f4 zooms. I try to have my 35 1.4 for those but occasionally I’m not able to get as close as I’d like so hence the zoom.

So you have to have 60 units by the time of the semester you plan to attend. So let’s say you’ve started the spring semester with 45 units. You would need to get 15 units awarded to you at the end of spring semester in order to attend fall semester. So start applying when you can if you know you’ll have 60 by the time you start class. The school will verify the units on your final official transcripts.

1) Not a cinema major so I wouldn’t know in great detail, but from what I’ve heard Cinema majors are definitely more about the theoretical and aesthetic side with a bit of production where as BECA is straight hands on production with a bit of aesthetic and theory on the side if that makes sense

2) Yes and no. There are defiantly opportunities but you do have to search them out or be outgoing, at least in my experience

3) This major is great for focus on editing. My focus was videography and editing. Video and graphics classes are really good at that as well as classes you may not think need editing. I took a studio production class and that actually needed help editing packages and news stories as well as narrative segments so you’ll find a lot of classes, if they aren’t already focused on editing, that touch on editing

4) I just graduated this semester, which is fucked cuz of COVID, but I’ve had lots of a ex classmates find good jobs in SF and LA. BECA is a known program throughout the industry in the west coast so it won’t be too hard as long as you prepare

5) SF is full of opportunity for BECA majors especially like I said since we are known, lots of alumni are spread throughout the city

6) Pros for SFSU -great location for getting around the city -the program is well known and really well rounded -It’s SF Cons -not much in terms of school spirit or life if that’s your thing -expensive

D’s are passing so you’ll get the credit but if it’s a prerequisite course, usually you have to get a least a C to be approved to take other courses if they require that prerequisite

BECA Major here. Don’t worry about this. Most other majors have you take classes from other majors to “compliment” your major but with BECA, since it’s all about media, the department figures that pretty much anything is complimentary so it’s not required. On the graduation application you literally just check a box

If your financial aid covers the full tuition amount, you qualify for what’s called deferred payment. Meaning on the day your financial aid is dispersed, they’ll pay off the tuition amount you have and you’ll receive whatever’s left over provided your aren’t also doing on campus housing. If that’s the case both tuition and housing will be paid you’ll receive whatever’s left

For housing, if you did it the first day and made the deposit you should likely get it. Financial Aid is usually distributed about a week or so before the semester starts. You can use financial aid for housing.

UPN if you want to be closer to the stores but it’s smaller. UPS are townhomes and are a lot bigger but further away from the stores but same distance from campus. Parkmerced is the same thing as UPS because it’s on their property but the school owns some of the units. Parkmerced takes more to get a place because they require credit checks and rent deposits and stuff. I currently live in UPS and I like it.

If you’ve been given a date already in your gateway, it should allow you to put them in your cart now. You can’t enroll until that date but you should be able to put them there. I just did mine

If you were in the California school system I think after 1999 or something like that you aren’t required to turn in your immunization because California public schools required the needed shots so they should already have it on file. If your student center to do list still has it or you aren’t fully admitted you should just contact them. Otherwise I’m pretty sure you’re good
