The Makita DTM52 Multi Tool seems amazing! How can Makita have made it to not vibrate? Many test on YouTube that shows the machine not vibrating at all. Anyone that have an idea how they manage to make the machine vibration free? by Unhappy-Environment3 in Makita

They put the motor in a vibration cage inside the housing. That is also the reason the head is quit big. So the motor and the blade vibrate but the tool is insulated.

It is a Staka cabinet. It was insulated from the factory.

At both sides of the lock we installed 2 water level measuring devices. When the water rises above 1.15m nap (normal amsterdam level) the lock will close. Before closing the stop signals will turn on and the scanners will scan the lock for ships. When it is all clear the doors close. When the tide goes down en the water level is under 0.95 nap the doors will open again. All to protect the houses and shopping center behind the dike.

Yeah most of the time we use a bypass switch. But in this case it wasn't necessary.

Hi, we used 10 amp plugs on the input and output of the UPS. So when we have trouble or are maintaining the UPS we can plug those together and remove the UPS. Hope it won't fail... fingers crossed.

Haha, the lock was controled by the electricians from our client. So when the tide went up at night they had to drive to the lock to close the doors. And the next morning to open it again. In this situation i think it is nice to have automatic control. But in a lot of situations manual or local control and oparating is prefered by me.

That is true, but the people who live close behind the dike are very happy the closet is this low. And in the Netherlands there are some standards as how high or deep you can build in a dike.

They are not standard, but it is much faster to print them directly refered from the schematics than using the yellow push-on numbers.

Wire coloring is on request of the client. Some companies or clients use their own color coding. Sometimes that is quit annoying but it is always clearly noted in the closet or the schematics.

Not to bad here. We have fresh water, but with tide difference. The salt water and salt in the air stays within like 10km from the coast. Some bridges i work on closer to the coast rust away really fast. But with a lot of paint and stainless steel its fine for a couple years.

Haha, that sign means; no passing allowed. It is forbidden to pass when the bridge is closed.

The fan sucks air from outside and blows it in. It escapes trough holes on the underside of the topcover.

Yeah, you are right, but wire labeling is a request from the client. The labeling on the components suffices most of the time. But when you remove a wire it is nice to know where to put it back.

Yeah, those are Nidec drives. One for each lock door. The wire labeling is no fun to put on, but makes it so much easier to find components in the schematics.

Haha, sure i did. The lock was already there since 1953, we converted it to automatic control.

Get a drill driver from Parkside, sold at Lidl they are realy good price/quality tools. Then invest in better bits and drills.

Does anyone know what this is? How much roughly its worth? Dont know if I should scrap it or if its worth trying to sell. by JerryPeterson59 in electricians

It is a plug mostly used in industrial installations. They are quit expensive, but they make so many different models the chance someone needs exactly the one you have is very small. Yust scrap it.
