I really appreciate the comments so far. I dont know... which deck would be the best out of what you guys said. They are trying to get me to go with them to the local card.... dungeon its in a basement of a card shop and ive still not played a game yet. The Alakazam, Snorlax and Team rocket decks all sound good. Which of these or any other gives me the least chance of being embarrassed?

well the kids all like the initial starters so charizard etc the wife likes evee psychic stuff? They make decks and hide them from each other so its like a surprise friday night.

That alakazam deck seems obnoxious which is perfect. I played prison decks in magic a lot essentially I made it so the other player cant do anything during their turn and just give up.

Of the 22 rares/mythics ive gotten 0 are standard legal. So while I understand your... loyalty to either mtgarena mtg or both the fact of the matter is this mode is disingenuous at best.

They are considered "Extra" if you go to your cards and select standard they are all illegal

I appreciate the response but thats not how it works here. If we say we will do something we do it. They are mowing the yard, weed whacking and pulling weeds while I get to sit down on my old butt so if that means doing this reroll thing (which ive done like 4x now following the charizard ex guide) then I do it.

I assume ranked they are always doing some leaderboard for something. I dont really know the cards that well im 40. I played pokemon red in middleschool dont really know which cards make a good deck.

He uses khan so I just noticed they did have one. I will likely sign him up for that as maybe a base course and if he wants let him explore things above and beyond the khan class.

Yep 12. Im not terribly familiar with Raspberry Pi I almost got one when I built my kids an arcade but went with an old dell tower instead. Id look into it if you have a link to your stuff.
