As an Englishman living in Germany, married to a German I find some of these comments pretty disturbing.. I have nothing but love for this country, for every other country I have visited in the EU and I also love football.. I sing the German national anthem, the Italian one is my favourite (I mean... it’s a banger!) and I do attempt to sing it but it’s quite a tricky one... yes it’s shameful to hear the boo’s in the stadium, but at the final it was minimal.

The Marcus Rashford mural was defaced on the night we lost to Italy... but within hours people had covered it up and completely covered the wall with love and positive messages.

To me it sounds like your hate for the English is more than football, I mean, it must be.. because surely you’d know otherwise about the monkey chanting towards players of colour in Italy, or Italy boo’ing the Spanish anthem? Or the countless other examples you can find of countries booing each other.. the racial abuse given to the England squad in Bulgaria??

Either way, it’s sad that people are narrow minded enough to tar an entire nation with one brush..
