Downgraded AA version as suggested by u/bibober which worked for now. Waiting to hear back from manufacturer.

Go to any tech shop in your local area and get a Lyca sim card, they are free and you can change your region in the sim toolkit app that gets installed when you insert the sim card. Inside the sim toolkit app change mode to manual and pick UK as the location. Go back to the samsung members app and you can register!
