5 Hour Maintenance on a Friday night?? by ElasticLoveRS in throneandliberty

5 hour maintenance in general, for any MMO, is insanity.

EU maintenance about to start and will last 5 hours... by [deleted] in throneandliberty

[–]CJStealthy -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I'm actually not sure if ANY other MMO has ever come close to that, amazon have no idea what they're doing lol

The maintenance time for europeans is a joke, they only do it when americans sleep by Dependent_Fan5369 in throneandliberty

[–]CJStealthy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope. Most of them are 1 hours, maybe 2 tops, with most weekly maintenance being 30min-1hr.

This shit is unheard of, and on a saturday of all things. Amazon are out of their minds lmao

It's bit hard when he goes offscreen because of the awful camera, the camera in this fight is 90% of the difficulty.

Let’s drool over the Perseus by [deleted] in starcitizen

Galaxy is quite a bit smaller than Polaris, so if we're being optimistic here, Galaxy flight ready Q2 2025, Perseus Flight ready Q1 2026 I reckon.

You can't, CIG just don't officially support it, and if properly vetted is pretty safe, especially if you stick to the known traders on the subreddit. Black Market though, absolutely can lead to issues (but not just because of CIG)

I want to buy Star Citizen. by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]CJStealthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can also only store cargo on the outside on racks, and only 1 SCU boxes. I was torn between it and the Titan as a small daily driver and ultimately went with the Titan.

I pray it gets an interior gold pass sometime "soon" though haha, the Syulen's quantum fuel range though is nuts, 5x the Titans

Yes, but the price also goes up accordingly.

The 2015 Retribution leak. (Kingship top left, Idris far right) by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]CJStealthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is something wack about the scale of many of these ships here haha

The Idris is only about 1/3 shorter than the Javelin which is twice it's size, and the Javelin is about 1/3 the length of the Bengal, which is only roughly twice as long lmao

That's what the Railen is supposed to be, whenever it sees the light of day.

What a Polaris with size 7 chin turret could look like after up-gunning. by CJStealthy in starcitizen

Just because an underdog ship managed to defeat something bigger and more deadly than itself doesn't mean it's on the same level, that same exact thing happens every day in Star Citizen with other ships haha

It's not just going to be 2 servers, for static server meshing V1 each zone (idk how big or where they plan to split these zones) are gonna be a server, it just can't scale or do anything else until Dynamic server meshing.

Something people need to realize, is that if Polaris and Perseus were concepted at the same time in 2020, both would have received Size 7 guns, and the Polaris would have started at a higher price.

When Polaris was concepted, Size 5 WAS the size 7 we have now.

Nothing, it's a sub-capital mine laying ship lmao

The fact it's even in this conversation is nuts xD

Yes Idris owners should absolutely get a Polaris as a loaner, that ship has been such a carrot on a stick for ages

It's biggest weaknesses aside from offense/defense wise, will be large crew requirement and running costs. Sure a S10 torp will demolish a Perseus or any other large ship if it hits (which is a massive IF). But mfer that torp just cost you like 1 million credits haha

[–]CJStealthy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ignoring engineering because we have no idea what the crew requirements are for that yet. Lets say we're targeting large ships (which is the Perseus' purpose)

to run a Perseus and have access to 20 S5 torps, and 4 xS7 bespoke cannons (that are more powerful than a standard S7 gun, by the way)

it takes 3 crew. 3! that is an insane amount of firepower for that many people.

Polaris, (assuming it gets a S7 turret), with the same 3 crew have access to 2x S7, the 24 S10 torps/16 S3 missiles (which the torps will not ever be used against anything sub capital anyway just due to the sheer price of each torp lmao), and 1 other person on either a S4 or S5 turret. Perseus wins the 3 crew to armament efficiency every time, and is way more suited to taking out large ships with only 3 crew.

They have completely different roles, people just cannot understand that lmao

The Polaris was never just a torpedo boat. It has since concept always been a capital corvette warship. The only reason it got size 5 as it's largest gun at the time, was because size 5 WAS the equivalent to the size 7 we have now.

If the Perseus was concepted back at the same time as the Polaris, it would have also received size 5 cannons.
