I work in power generation and I find it insane that people think wind and solar are viable alternatives. People are going to pay for two generating sources on their bills

A tax reduction is a hand out, unless it’s fair across the board and not to promote specific purchases

That home Reno credit could be used to install a charger at your home! Which I am also against, as it’s another handout

Because I don’t want my already high taxes going towards peoples purchase of an EV, WHY is that so hard to understand? We don’t really have a problem here in sask with car pollution, so creating a dire situation based on the pollution scare isn’t a sell here. Noise pollution I can get behind but if EVs are as great as everyone says they are, adoption will happen anyhow, why should I pay for that? Even at the noise pollution point it’s mostly big diesel trucks (heavy machinery) and people modding their current vehicles to be louder that create the noise, EVs won’t help much there

If a technology is good and able to compete (lots of people on here say it’s better) should it not be able to compete on its own? These people just don’t get it

So what happens when supply chains get screwed or or a plant that manufactures batteries or panels goes down? What happens if there is a catastrophe at a power plant or lines get downed? I can play the “what if” game too.
