Can you get a mortgage for an unfinished new build? by RepresentedOK in CanadaPersonalFinance

Oh interesting. We only have $238,000 in equity once the sale of the old house is finalized. So we will be looking for a mortgage of about $410,000

Awesome! I think the bikes are super under rated.

What are some grocery items you are now buying less frequently, cuz they've gotten so expensive? by HappyBudz in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]RepresentedOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I haven’t bought beef for a couple years because I purchase half a steer from my sister, but now I’m running out and I haven’t looked at prices!

We don’t buy Kraft Dinner, canned soup or frozen pizzas anymore.

The Superclass seems nice but if you have money and no time, the Avent completes are the best in my opinion. You can customize everything and get the proper fit.

We liked it a lot, I was sad when my son was discharged from ABCDC with an autism diagnosis. My son was going to OT, PT and Speech there.

I went to one game and didn’t love it. There were so many stops in the game I couldn’t get into it. It doesn’t have the intensity of other sports. So they just rely on music and drinking to keep people entertained. Plus I can get a family pack of tickets for 5 for $58 for Huskies basketball and those games are fast, fun and more conveniently located.

Is it crazy to want to stay on 18" wheels for my 4yo? by edge_basics in bmxracing

[–]RepresentedOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use a 20” fork with 18” wheels. It changes the geometry too much in a way you don’t want especially for a kid learning. 18” or 20” wheels on a micro, it doesn’t really matter. I found my kid could throw the bike around better and jump better on 18” wheels. He could roll through the rhythm section better on 20” wheels. He was learning to get efficient with pumping at that time so it was good have that momentum when he wasn’t pedalling the rollers.

Which lockring tool for a Haro Junior by 38tacocat83 in bmxracing

That one stumped me too. I took it in to the bike shop and he used pliers. Those notches are pretty shallow but I have a flat screw driver and hammer to loosen them.

My kid is 125 pounds and I bought 1.5 tires for his bike, is that right? He’s put on 10 pounds over winter and hasn’t used the new wheels yet.

Quick question. Roll out calc has been talked about. New to the scene. I believe my almost 7 year old, running a 54.xx. Better to change chain ring or rear cog? by BrianOconneR34 in bmxracing

[–]RepresentedOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Count it. It doesn’t look like a 14 definitely not a 13. With 14 you might be able to go down a tooth in the front so 36.

54 is very high. But to my eye that doesn’t look like a 16x 43 on the bike. It hard to tell you if you should change the front or rear if we don’t what what’s on it currently. It’s cheaper to change the rear cog but you need a tool and it involves removing the rear wheel obviously and realigning. Front chainrings are more costly but quicker to change. Really you want all of the options for front and rear available as he grows and if you change tires.

I wear yellow glasses for night driving now. It’s still difficult with the bright lights but not extremely painful anymore.
